I have had complete strangers (online) accuse "me" of being "phoney" when I rejected them. There initial contact, or subsequent dialogue between us was evident of no love connection. The "thanks, but no thanks" e-mail then prompted the accusation of being "fake," "phoney," or even of being a man ('cause apparently EVERY woman would blindly accept these men). I think the terms (fake, phoney, etc.) are used to freely to label someone that just has no interest in someone. I feel that everyone is here for some reason, whether that's to actually meet people (for real), or just to "play" online. I don't think that really makes them phoney, as much as searching from something other than we may be seeking. K
