Depending on the level of my sleeplesssness, i'll do different things. Sometimes reading a book helps, it has to be a good one or I'll just get annoyed and start staring at the ceiling. Sometimes a just doing some yoga breathing helps put me to sleep or counting backwards while breathing deeply. The breathing and counting works amazingly well for me. Listening to some very relaxing music helps, while focusing my mind on something tranquil. If these things don't help, I will just get out of bed and find some chores to do that I've been putting off. I may end up tired when I wake for work the next morning, but there's nothing worse than just laying in bed making myself more miserable thinking about how I can't get to sleep. I might as well use the time to accomplish something positive. Rosa
