Status: offline 		What do you all think of this profile i just read. i was tempted to respond to him but decided to hold my tongue and get your opinions, especially on the last line.

Status: offline 		I suppose it depends oin the motivation behind it.

I can read it two ways:

1. He really means exactly what he says as it is read at face value.

2. It's meant to be a mini-teaser of what a humiliation scene would be like, and is geared to hit the triggers of those that would like to go there.

I don't really care for it much either way - mostly cuz it seems bent on tearing someone down and I firmly believe that one can do serious degradation without tearing a person down.

Buyer beware I suppose, and all that.

Not my cup of tea personally though.

The question in my mind is "why did it irritate you?"

There will be some subset of people who will be attracted to it, and I personally hope
they are all happy together.

the only thing sadder than the fact that he wrote that, is the likelyhood that some poor soul will respond.

but hey- I met someone realtime lately who told me with a striaght face that he was a seriously heavy player and had six collared 'subbies' (all of whom are out of state) and introduced himself as 'Lord Demonic'. I imagine the expense of flying himself and his giant toybag all over the states explained why he had taken the bus to the bookstore.

So my next question is, why exactly do you care what this nameless poster in cyberspace thinks about you and everybody else in collarme?

It is not whether you are misinterpreting what he said, it is whether you are giving a nameless person the power over you to alter your emotional or intellectual state.

I don't think he meant get out of collarme proper. He probably was only referring to his "personal profile website". Yeah, that statement is egotistical, and inaccurate. But not real offensive.

Nonetheless, I myself prefer to interact with a partner with an imagination of their own, as opposed to "bdsm novel book learnin'". Seems more spontaneous.

HONESTY DISCLOSURE: Since I've never read O, and only read a few pages of "Slavegirl of Gor", I readily admit I could really be missing out on something great.
