My soon to be sub likes to play with them.I have never used one and prefer to do some research before just diving in.Does anyone have any practical suggestions or sites where I can learn first.I do know that the current can't cross over the heart.

Two books

Juice by Uncle Abdul. He's self publishing now but I think Amazon and the other online stores have it.

High Tech Toys by me. It's got a chapter on TENS play and is available in bookstores and from www.greenerypress.com

Hello There,
One thing about tens units is they release ozone when in use. Be careful not to breathe too close to the unit while you play with it, as ozone is unhealthy. The good thing about them is they are one of the few electric playthings that can be used above the waist pretty safely.
A piece of advice is when someone uses them in play on my nipples I love it and it's not painful for me at all but rather nice and sexually stimulating, but the next two to three days afterwards they are very tender and sore indeed.
The coolest thing I've done so far was a Dom stuck the grounding element in is waistband so it made contact with his skin then his fingertips worked just like the wand. Skin-to-skin contact is always way hotter for me than a toy touching me. I just loved it. It also made real sparks fly when he kissed me or ran his tongue over my body. It was the hottest tens unit scene I’ve ever had.

Sincerely,
sub suzanne

You are confusing a TENS unit with a violet wand. Two different devices; two different sensations and a huge difference in current and voltage.

A TENS unit is usually a small plastic case about the size of a cigarette pack with four wires that make up two completely isolated circuits. They are often used with adhesive pads to let the current flow to the body but they often have custom designed accessories including a number intended for insertion.

Hello Mr Warren,
OOOPS, thank you for correcting me. I was very busy at work yesterday when I bounced in here and made this comment.
Thanks for pointing out my advice was indeed incorrect.
I enjoy reading your posts,

Very good advice from John, the only thing I will add is that not all TENS units are made to the same standards. Pick a good one, and a good place to get something fairly good but at a good price is at a Chinese pharmacy.

The TENS unit Master and i have is actually a foot TENS reflexology unit. Its general purpose it to place your feet on it and have your accupressure points stimulated via electrical current. This unit also has the capacity to attach the regular TENS cables and pads to it that you can put on various parts of your body (can have 8 or 10 going at any given time..not that we ever use that many*grin*) it also has degrees of intensity going from level 1 - 99 or something..so can make for some very interesting play....anyways..something like that might be worth looking into ..here is the model number if you want to look it up... EH - 007BH..it runs by electricity not batteries.
