I have a question for you about tying with silk scarves. It is my fetish and being a trained rope binder I am very good at this little used but fine art. My biggest problem is finding willing partners to bind. When topping someone I like to use scarves and sexual teasing instead of ropes and pain. I've always thought there was a gray area there in between curious and hard core extreem where people just want to be tied up and enjoy light to moderate torture and sexual stimulation. My question is, where the heck do I fit in here. I am a switch but mostly enjoy topping. Any thoughts on silk scarf bondage, experiences. Any thoughts on my gray area observation. Any questions?

I have a very good vanilla male friend who told me once that his girlfriend had asked him to tie her up with silk scarves. He was simultaneously horrified and excited and I encouraged him to do it..why not, right? Apparently it went well and the next time, he asked to be tied to see what it felt like... This may be an effective means of introducing the scarves into your play. Many men (and women) like to be tied with scarves, since they seem "prettier or less harsh" than ropes, saran, chains, etc. Since you switch, it could be a nice way to introduce it into play that gives your partner the confidence it isn't scary and the control they may need over the concept. The next time may be easier to tease them into the scarves and they will be confident it's not so bad and can be quite fun. I have not used silk scarves per se, I have however used several of my neckties...they are usually silk or a very smooth soft fabric...they tie well (no pun intended) and knots come loose easily, and since they are longer than most scarves, they can be useful in many configurations...and besides, you can wear them and keep them in your car innocuously... My sister presented our Master with two beautiful silk scarves as a gift. Her hopes being that he would incorporate them into sessions. I'd love the feel of silk as a blindfold, and between sister and me, we are hoping to encourage Master to "tease" us with the softness of silk!

i totally agree with glassdoll everyone has there own thing and thats yours so dont be afraid or confused by it have as much fun with it as you can. and if your partner is afraid of doing it let them have some fun with it first. who knows if you make it look good enough....[;)]
