ORIGINAL: rain Interesting question, i do wonder about those roles in every day life: for example, i've met Doms who work as police officers, fire fighters, serve in the military, or work in some authoritative type of work. i'm not sure of what types of work many subs do, but i work in social work, which is serving people, and i wonder if how one identifies: D/s or switch plays a role in what type of work one gets into? ~rain~ I serve no one in my everyday life. They serve me. Well, if we have to use that word serving. Basically I am the boss and people listen to me. I have more than one career, but in both it is the same for me. Although you could look at police officers, firefighters and the military as subservient work just as easy. They are really serving the public and they have to obey strict orders. I think it just depends on how you look at life and certain occupations. As a social worker are you not guiding others to a better life?
