What changes could be made in the studies to make each of them more ethical and methodologically sound?

erm... use violet wands and provide a safe word?

siamsa24 -> RE: What's Yor Education Background? (2/21/2005 6:47:49 AM)

LOL, are you familiar with these studies?
Using a safe word would be appropiate improvement in either one! [:D]

Graated college with BA in philosophy, flunked out of a PhD program in philosophy largely due to poor tactical decisions on my part. Currently taking adult education classes in Hebrew and Jewish mythology.

Thank God! I need a good example because my vocabulary rarely gets passed four-letter words!

(Actually, I do enjoy reading your posts. I wish I had your ability to be so eloquent.)

Just in case anyone was wondering, I did put in use of a safe word as improving the Zimbardo study, I just hope that my professor takes that as an answer [:D]

I think you will have confused the poor prof!

Although if s/he googles the phrase, you may have provided the key to door of enlightenment for him or her. [:D]

[:D] I feel like a slacker, I only have a BS in Business and minors in Marketing and Accounting.[>:] Of course I do have a daughter and a great husband so I guess I'm not too bad off.[:)]

ProtagonistLily -> RE: What's Yor Education Background? (2/22/2005 6:34:56 AM)

I too am public school educated (but for one year) and hold a B.S degree and a B.A. degree, both which I attained in the same 4 year period.

Degrees are potential energy. It's what we do with them that counts. I papered my bathroom with mine for a few years until I started consulting and putting them to work. I'm not rich, but I love my professional life.

BS in Mechanical Engineering from U of Buffalo. Certainly got a lot of use out of those 4 semesters of Thermodynamics.[:@] As they say, "4 years ago, I couldn't even spell Ingineer, now I are one!" [:D]

Then an MBA from the U of Rochester, in Computers and Information Systems.

Interestingly, the MBA was a breeze, compared to the Engineering courses. Since I was already working in the computer industry, I took the more advanced CIS courses.

happypervert, please include me in fascinating conversations about fun stuff like queuing theory and simulations, or for that matter, happy perversions. [sm=lol.gif]

Worked in Mechanical Engineering, Reliability, Manufacuring Engineering, and Systems. Then managed to retire early. So much better than working for a living! So many things to do!

As I've mentioned elsewhere, my real ambition was to become a [happy] pervert. Now's my big chance! [sm=rolleyes.gif]

Heh heh, that reminds me, i was in class the other day and the professor was talking about some particularly distaste practices in history. First a particular offender would be whipped with a cowhide flogger, than on the second offense, a scourge.... The discussion soon veered off into, "What is a scourge? Does it matter that the flogger was made from a cow?" i so, so, wanted to answer, but just sat on my hands and kept my mouth shut....

Masters in History

dixiedumpling -> RE: What's Yor Education Background? (2/27/2005 4:01:14 PM)

BS degree in Agronomy from Mississippi State University (also known as MOO U). Worked for the US Gvt for years as a soil scientist... the most boring job on the face of the earth, plus you're with other feds all day, every day. BOR---ING. Now, a satisfied housewife. Also refer to myself as a kept woman which tickles vanilla folks and intrigues the rest who ask, "Who keeps you?" Then I have to explain my little joke about being a woman who keeps house and is given an allowance by her hard working spouse.. thus a kept woman.

ProScatman -> RE: What's Yor Education Background? (4/5/2005 9:09:36 AM)

A.A. at Ashland U. Majored in Criminal Justice, with a concintration in Psychology. Had to quit in Senior year, because my grants ran out, because I began to make too much money and I couldn't come up with $6000 a Semester! The interesting thing about the whole thing is I quit high school, because I thought some of the teachers were as'les and some of them thought I was an as'le, and joined the Marines, and became an Engineer (Heavy Equipment Operator 1345). Years later I took my G.E.D., and was 3rd highest in class, and maintained a B+ average at Ashland U. The hell of it is I thought I couldn't even pass the G.E.D.! [:)]

joecool -> RE: What's Yor Education Background? (4/5/2005 6:00:15 PM)
