Legally all dominants go to prison and all subs to a mental hospital.

Was this meant to be funny or serious? Either way, I disagree. I don't think it is fair to insinuate that submissives are mental cases and dominants are criminals. Even tongue in cheek, you're pushing it, iwill...

...and don't be so hard on D.A.'s...they make some of the best submissives I know.

It makes sense to know your partner very well before any hard play. It's true that anytime a bruise is left you can be charged with abuse. However, being charged with abuse and proving abuse is two different things. We have discussed wise measures to avoid these issues several times in other threads. But I'll tell you this...I would love to have a discussion with the judge that wants to label me as mental and needing to be in a mental institution. He might find himself tied and whipped in chambers...grins.
