Ok, so LA and I are yammering on the phone, wiling away a nice spring Sunday afternoon, when low and behold, I get a note in my CM mail. Of course, being the attention whore that I am, I ignore LA as she telling about yet another of her charming escapades and zoom to my mail.
In it was a lovely note from a boy who had this to say:
I would very much like if we could get better acquainted, the how, when, where and pace I leave as your final decision. But if I may humbly propose that whatever is convenient for you, be it, emails, instant messages, chatting, phones calls, meeting for coffee, would be more than satisfactory for me. I understand fully that a lady of your stature does not make rash decisions. I understand that things may or may not progress at a pace of your comfort level.
If you will grant me the privilege of meeting you I promise to meet whatever requirements you may have of me. I understand that your safety is of paramount concern and will gladly respect whatever method you deem to be appropriate.
So of course, after I read, feeling special, I have to read it to LA on the phone. She says to me, "Damn, that sounds familiar, cut and paste that for me." So, I did, and of course IT CAME RIGHT FROM THIS DAMNED GUIDE. Apparently they didn't read caveat #2...don't cut and paste this as your own.
Alas, perhaps I should jettison this fruitless search and just give myself over to the person who REALLY writes like this ;).
I had LA's permission to write this.
