Here lately I have been getting quite a few e-mails about how NON submissive I am.. because i'm too forward.. too outspoken... too much a flirt.. (for having a Master)... so I guess i'll go one step further...

DO WHATEVER FEELS GOOD TO YOU AND YOU ONLY.....

Then later worry about if it's a limit with you when someone you are connecting with, wants to see it differently. Some people change little things.. for their happiness.. things that.. like me.. makes no never mind as fas as typing.

One thing you'll find out on this forum... you're damned if you do... damned if you don't.. so just be damned and do what ever feels good to you .... and welcome to the forums... LOL

It is annoying. It would be a hard limit for me, to be expected to stutter when I type, I just can't get into it.

hmmm you would lose an opportunity with a potential suitable, even incredible Dom because he asked you to type in a certain way? <scratches head and wonders about submission>

If my desire to serve a women was denied solely on how i type online, i would question the relationship anyway. i tend to put more emphasis on how someone acts in the real world and less on their typing styles. But i guess we all need ways to weed out unsuitable partners and if you want to base it on online activities, that is certainly your right.

Actually I did, not for the uppercase lowercase but for bad spelling, that is My hard limit--errors happen on occasion but continued bad spelling for Me is a hard limit--smiles---so yep to each his own...

Very well said, truesub.

For some clarification:

MH, do You prefer when people do the slashy thing when speaking in general terms like when discussing the collective we, typing W/we? Or are You saying that You prefer that Dom/me or pronouns refering to the Dom/me are capped and the sub and pronouns refering to the sub are lower case? Or both?

Katylied, if you were being courted by a Dominant and He/She asked you to always preface Their name with or call Them only by an honorific title, would that be a hard limit for you as well?

As for bad spelling and poor grammar, everyone makes a mistake or typo here and there. Constant, unintentional misspelling and gramatical errors are quite telling of many things.

If we were courting, dating, getting to know each other, I would have no problem with that. I can live with "Sir" thing, if it's someone I've decided to "Sir". But to random people on-line, I feel no compulsion to give them an automatic knee bend in respect. And I won't. I know people do that sort of stuff and if they are into that protocol and it works for them, it's cool. It's like the stuttering. I just don't see the use for it. I think it muddles the conversation, and to me, when I try to hear it in my head, it's a bunch of useless stuttering.

I prefer that Dom/me or pronouns refering to the Dom/me are capped and the sub and pronouns refering to the sub are lower case. I only use the slashy thing on rare occasion for emphasis and mostly with the boy.

As long as its not that irritating 3rd person speech, they sound like they muliple personalities that can't make up their minds who they want to be today. To thine own self be true, do what suits you.

Thank you all for the replies. From what i gather, it is perfectly okay for me to be an individual and see to my own tastes unless my Master and i decide differently together. im glad about that.

As for personal preferences: usually i will leave the pronouns lower case when referring to myself or other subs, and uppercase when i refer to my own or other Masters....and i hate the slash thingy!

Please forgive me for not remembering names....but there were a couple of folks i agreed with that deserve a thanks here as well:

for the person who said she does not automatically offer a knee bend to a Master...thanks. i also reserve this for someone i feel is deserving of my respect. This does not mean that i will not kneel when addressed to do so..on the contrary...i would in a heartbeat because i enjoy a Master who knows what he expects from me and is not opposed to commanding it. i will however give all Masters the courtesy of being addressed as Sir (with a capital S) because i feel that as a Master, they deserve that much respect at the very least.

For all of those who offered both sides...D/s points of view, thanks as well. Since i am new here, i need all the help i can get.

And lastly...thanks for the words of encouragement and welcome. i am finding that i like this site a lot and have learned a great deal since i've become a member.

I dont have any prejudice over how people type, I pretty much understand everyone has different personalities and express that differently.

I dont see people who cap things as more respectful and i dont see people who dont cap as being more with it.

Yeah I agree..to each their own.
