Lots of good replies here, no need to rehash them.

Welcome to CM shaz, nice re-write on the profile, I think it iwll help some with the wankers but nothing will stop them all.... *grins and shrugs*

It's the internet, home of HNG's, trolls, wankers, posers, users and abusers.

OH! And the occasional interesting person!

YIK,
- Geoff

I had a recent problem, I had a male on here chatted to him twice on here, and then on Yahoo, but then he was getting a little bit 'not nice' with me, so I told him not to contact me any more, he kept trying to get hold of me on yahoo and on here so i blocked him off, then he used a few different ID's and tried to contact me, verbally abusing me as i had blocked him off, then i got lots of people trying to chat to me on yahoo having a go at me and being really rude and nasty to me, 58 people in just under 3 hours, apparently he gave my id out in a chat room somewhere. I had words with someone at support on here, and changed my yahoo ID, now i have noticed he isnt in my blocked list anymore and old messages in my mail are greyed out, So i think now he has been removed from here, I just hope he leaves me alone.
Theres always 1 person to spoil things, and I seem always to attract them.

my goodness, midnightgirl, that's a horrid tale of stalking. i can't imagine being under that kind of unconsentual aggression. However, your tale shows U/us that the people who run this website are serious about pulling those who would lay seige to another and are going to be stopped.

i'm glad it's over for you and i hope it never happens again.......

midnitegirluk, I'm sorry you had this experience. My suggestion to you is to not respond, once the person starts getting nasty. If you don't fuel his need to get attention, he'll tire of you and leave you alone. Do that as soon as you feel uneasy (next time). Sometimes being polite in trying to respond, and in explaining to him that your disinterested, is just enough to get them going to bombard you more. Attention to some, whether good or bad...is attention.

Fortunately this character, that harassed you, is not the norm.

I am just glad it is over, I am still wary of anyone popping out of the Blue on my yahoo list. but do just ignore them now unless they know me from somewhere else and I have given them my ID to add to me.
