RO You just proved that you pay no attention to anything happening on the site and that all you are interested in is the sound of your own typing (I suppose it keeps you hands busy and out of your trousers!)

Do at least try and keep up old bean. Go look at the beta test features. Once brought in you will be able to hide users that you don't want to see. So all those nasty pro's that you are scared of and those horrid people that have gone and inconsideratly found their slave already rather than wait for you, you will only have to deal with the once!

That is not justification however to dismiss this as bullshit. the amish are still using horses and oil lamps too that works for them and they happy and that is great.

however this site is shared by a wide range of people including many people who think like me as well, who also prefer a motorized vehicle and light bulbs.

I have a very easy solution, Sybil.

Ask for your money back and go sign up for another site that is more to your liking.

Have a nice day.

No kidding, go check the beta test thread in general BDSM forum. It is top of the list of new features.

Hopefully that will give you less reason to beat that dead horse, live ones are much more fun to ride

If you look at the first page of the site (www.collarme.com) youwill notice a few things...first of all it says it is a BDSM Community not a dating site.
Mine also says "Free BDSM Personals and Chat for all of Canada"
and a personal is just that...a personal advertisement, something that states somethging about me and what I am looking for, whether I am looking for a sexual partner, or a pen pal doesn't really change anything. The profile should stay if the person who posted it wants it to.
I agree that it is a little annoying to read a profile that doesn't mention being involved and then to be told that the person is involved when you contact them, but that's a basic honesty/common courtesy issue.
I started reading this thread and asked myself "Hmmmm how many pages will this go before he gets back to the email filters & pro dommes....I guessed the bottom of page 2...and you beat me!!!)
This whole idea of whining and bitching about the site not being tailored exactly to your specifications is becomming tiresome...I don't give a good god damn if you have to spend 1 second or 1 week opening a profile, or looking at profiles you don't want to see...there is a button on every profile that says "Block User"...if you don't like a profile then use that button, its called doing it for yourself.....obviously a concept you have a hard time grasping in anything but a sexual context.
What makes you think your time is so damned precious anyway....turn off the computer and go outside...meet flesh and blood people...true you can't pre-filtre them to match what you are seeking, but guess what...that's the fun of life
Why don't you start your own site...you can put in whatever filters and so on you choose.

That was the point i made in the middle of the second page...which should end any questions of one's eligability based on relationship status. If I remember correctly, that was the topic of this post...that is before it became simply one persons personal discovery of inadequacies.

computer dating
noun

1. The introduction of possible romantic partners by an agency, by entering data supplied by clients into a computer which then matches them up according to common interests, etc.

Hmmm sounds like any other dating site to me.

Now i suppose the definition of a dating will need to be litigated for 6 pages because no 2 people can agree on that either!! LOL

Whatever YOU want to call it RO, take a look at the tag-line on the main page.

The largest BDSM community on the planet.

Thats how they obviously view it and that is what counts. The fact that you can search profiles and possibly find a match is a plus. Personaly I wouldn't be here half as much if it was JUST a dating site, it is the forums that hold my interest even though I AM looking to find a sub.

Do you think for a moment its not annoying for me too?

i brought this particular topic up mainly as a result of reading the op and on behalf of others who have expressed a desire for it in other threads who were met by smart assed remarks and i feel it is a legitimate request.

Others however did not understand they would be met with such childish responses and had no idea that to get a point across in here one had to draw tiny pictures so the people on here could understand and they left out of frustration.

Well i decided to make it perfectly clear by drawing tiny pictures for those who either cannot read or have impulsive knee jerk reactions and are prone to the tangents that always ensue often times good suggestions on here.

Now by the time one explains it 1000 different ways trying to respond to everyone who took the subject out on a tangent somewhere i agree it can get pretty boring and even annoying to hear the same argument levelled from 20 differeent angles always coming to the same point and of course the people who are getting cranked are the same people who could give a shit or are throwing the stones at the people who bring these items up in the first place, yet they come on here with their own concerns, complaints, and whining that they feel are valid while negating the same of others....and that is what drags these things into infinity.

Hey thats ok, you can shift ALL the blame for "everything" about this on to me just because i brought it up and defended my postiion if it makes you happy.

i have offered an exactly perfect solution to keep everyone happy that is perfectly on topic with the OP that was intended to help eliminate not only this but other similar arguments from constantly haunting this forum:

quote:

ORIGINAL: MHOO314
Many of us have had profiles ever since we joined, so we don't feel the need to remove them when W/we connect--we update it but continue to use it to keep a presence--I for one want people to know there is a real person posting and My blog has become important to Me as an outlet--

but what is the consensus? If someone is involved/collared--should the profile be removed to allow for "cleaner searches by others"?

Minor in life's scheme of things--but inquiring minds want to know---

NO DO NOT REMOVE YOUR PROFILE!!!!
NO DO NOT REMOVE PROS EITHER!!!!

INSTEAD check:

_ tribute
checking this shows only those seeking a tribute (the pros) {otherwise no pros}
-----------------------------------------------------

_ inactive
checking this shows only those who are only here for forums, not actively seeking etc. which includes those happily collared! {otherwise active only}
-----------------------------------------------------
do this, and display the mail controls and you would have one kick azz sweet site.

and i agree with the OP "minor in lifes scheme of things" but add not minor in the debate of things!

i made suggestions that are the best compromise to keep EVERYONE happy! and instead they hit me with:

quote:

ORIGINAL: swtnsparkling
OH for christs sake- why dont you stop pissing and moaning and grow up stop whinnnnnnnnnning your worst than a two yr old.

Add to that those who's sole purpose is to heckle.
quote:

ORIGINAL: IronBear
RO has been relitively quiet here you should have seen the BS it did on the Gorean Forum untill a few of us told the child to grow up or mover back to preschool.....

Not to forget the name callers.

who the hell is sybil?

and the more atypical approach, from another thread is:

quote:

Whine, whine, whine.... snivel, bitch, moan, groan.

Add it ALL up and it makes for a wonderfully mature discussion. Yeh suffice to say i get annoyed too.

This discussion is what we ALL make it.

Unlike searching for profiles where the only way to turn it off is go somewhere else, you have the luxury of just turning it off.

you can ignore whole topics or any individual on here. you can opt not to respond. There are many ways to avoid getting annoyed on the forums.

Finally it is the people like myself and others who help in the developement of things rather than its stagnation and as peoples needs change we help keep the developers abreast of those changing needs.

If it were left to some on here we would not even have the internet and would still be sending messages by pony express because their insight only extends to what works well for them and therefore it should be perfectly fine for everyone else too.

You propose a compromise that You feel would make everyone happy, and you refuse to accept that there are those who do Not like that compromise.
I think a good way to describe you would be:

Arpig

After reading all your posts, and subsequent replies, the only way I can figure is it that you are a troublemaker. Things WILL be your way, or you will bitch from here to eternity about it.
You quote and comment on everybody's minor little insults to you, while your yourself insult our intelligence time and time again.
By the way, litigation is something that happens in a court room in front of a judge, Not on a message board.

RealOne? What happened? Did you run out of arguments on the other thread that you started that you felt you had to come here and start all over again? You really need to get a grip on yourself bud. Losing control like that...and all because some people don't respond to your mail...geesh...I wonder how you act in a real crisis. Give up this little crusade of yours. Have you not figured out yet that no one gives a flying fuck.
