It has made me consider the impact of my own words though, for I would never wish for someone to feel that way. I also wonder if someone does walk away with that feeling, is it the fault of the poster or is it something that comes from an insecurity of the reader? Are they holding themselves or their own situation up in comparison to the poster's....and forgetting that we are all individuals and just because yours is different that it doesn't mean it's "less"?

Do others posts make you feel this way?...and if so, where do you think that feeling comes from? Do you think about the impact of your words?

I’d say it’s the insecurity of the reader. The posts that I’ve read that sounded like bragging just make me laugh to be honest. And the ones that honestly convey something that reflects where I want to be (which hasn’t happened on collar me but has happened on an email list I’m on) just make me admire the person.

C~

I've not felt i'm less than anyone. Nor better than anyone else.

I may not always speak the way others feel I should. But hey, I'm me, and they are they. I do get tickled when someone.. anyone.. post something and says.. "We", "us" "All" "Everyone"
and others feel's it's directed at them personally.

I've felt peronsally attacked by others on here. I've attacked one or 2 myself. That I've gone back and appologized too after realizing I read something wrong myself. It happens. I've gotten a warning from moderator my first month here. Not sense then.

Now when I post an OP. I know not everyones going to agree. I read all responses, good or bad or indifferent. I chew over the words. Laugh at some, cry with some. But in all, i've learned.. it's jut anothers opinion. Just like mine are.

I've learned alot I didn't know since being on here. I ask questions. I read others questions and the responses to them too. Some tims when I respond to an OP. People will agree or won't. But it doesn't mean I'm dregrading anyone. Or trying to come across better than anyone else. Because one thing I know I am... and that's far from perfect. Somethings I may be good others... somethings i suck totally suck at. But that's what makes me ... me.

absolutely...and as such, this slave makes an effort to preface her opinions, attempts at humor, impressions, thoughts and relating of her experience as simply this slave's. sometimes it feels redundant to post something and then have to preface it with.."in this slave's opinion" or "it has been this slave's experience", but this slave does it to overemphasize that it is merely this slave's opinion or what this slave has experienced first hand. suprisingly, this slave has had folks here send her CM mail specifically because of something that has been posted by her. most nice, some not so nice.

this slave makes no claim that her opinion or experience is the "one" "true" or "real" way that "we" slaves do things when she speaks of her service to Master and feels that when folks do, they marginalize or intentionally/unintentionally insult the intelligence and individuality of participants who do not share the same ideas and experiences and potentially confuse folks who are new to all this. as someone who has spent an entire lifetime as a statistical anomaly in one form or another, it isn't anything new for this slave to be the one to attempt to point out to people that while there might be a few things that we have in common, our differences, what makes each of our experiences unique, should be embraced and not contorted to make others feel "less than" or "greater than".

this slave has been blessed with the opportunity to serve an awesome man...however, any more shouting from the rooftop and someone in the neighborhood is liable to call for a "love-me" jacket for this slave!! for those who feel slighted, insulted or put down, that was never this slave's intention~ this slave sincerely hopes that her sharing here has helped, enlightened or lightened the load for others that read her words here.
