While your entire post (and profile) make a great deal of sense, the one thing I'd like to add is that it would be nice for 1) tops past the age of about 40, could perhaps give the subs who are in the same age bracket (or older) a peek. I know that age isn't always a factor (or so I hear), but many times I read a profile and end up feeling like Whistler's Mother...lol. It might also be nice if a male dom in their 20/30's looked a little closer to their own age as well. I really do have a hang-up with seeing someone as my dom when I have children (and socks) older than they are..lol.

Status: offline 		I too actually agree...I can't count how many time I've gotten one line emails, or emails saying they live in Denmark when my profile does state that I will not deal with anyone who lives more than 2 hrs away. Since I live in Canada, and Denmark is in a different Continent let alone country...I'm pretty sure that's more than 2 hrs away.
What gets me is when people don't post where they're from, yet will say Won't go with anyone who lives more than...
Happened to me the other day I contacted someone and had to ask where they're from before I even thought of it. I thought possibly we could just be email friends or whatever...but nope never responded to my email.
They all drive me crazy, it's been 3 yrs and I've yet to find someone I'm compatible with. It's very frustrating.

What I am finding is just when I feel I've got something figured out, just enough surety to go on a rant, its precisely after the rant that things go ambiguous again.

In terms of "the way" or "the wrong way," I would say a key is to be master of one's domain (copywright, Seinfeld inc.) in that you just go out, enjoy life as you are capable, put yourself out there, grow..... and somehow along the way positive things happen. I think it helps to do things that boost trust and pride in one's own self, for this helps ward off discouragment, truly a great foe of the human spirit.

Its all about concentrating on the way, not the destination.

Status: offline 		I was re-reading the thread, paying more attention to who said what this time around, and noted one thing in particular. LA is, unfortunately, preaching mostly to the choir, as it were. While we all have different things we like, or do, etc., there's also a common bond that comes out in most of the posts -- common sense and good mannners, I think they're called..lol.

I can't remember when I've enjoyed a thread more.

I feel like most of it was a rant stating the obvious, and calling 90% of us stupid for not knowing it, with well over 90% of us agreeing with it. If I started a thread against murder would we all feel the need to chime in to agree! *laughs*

Like stated in a previous post, you are preaching to the choir. The people that you need to reach with this message still will not get it. *Sigh*

He didn't call you or you a name, after all. And it was tongue-in-cheek, not bitter. The names called were all for people who. If someone read that post and took personal offense, well, better just check and see if you left your coffee machine on.

I think some of the post was bullshit by the way but bullshit plainly and unapologetically stated trumps lofty self-deluded meandering and interminable rehashing of opinions that weren't even interesting when the person they were borrowed from said them on some half-assed kink website ten years ago.
