Status: offline 		Face slapping is a hard limit for both Master and me. I feel it is degrading and disrespectful. Slap me on the butt all you like but leave my face alone. To me it feels abusive as opposed to a turn on.

Some folks may also not want to deal with questions at work or from friends and family. Or the police.... we live in a world (thankfully I think) that takes questions about domestic violence and abuse relatively seriously. I, for one, don't want someone reporting me to the police because Fox's face is bruised nor do I want his co-workers to ask him questions or his boss to assume negative things about him.

Status: offline 		As mentioned by TammyJo, there are just too many in the outside world who would question seeing a face beaten to a bruised, and swollen pulp :) That's not to say that you can't go away for a week or two, get your kicks, let the bruises and cuts fade, and then come back.

There were times that we would go away for a couple weeks, and at those times, nothing was off limits. But it was always with the understanding that once back home, there could be no bruises. And this was something that he set; I just continue to carry the same limit with me to this day.

I was in a heavy S&M relationship for 2 years and both of us are professionals living in the white picket fence world. He (the Dom) would tell me no one would suspect the bruises being associated with S&M or violence. That was really hard for me to believe, but actually he was right. No one ever questioned the occasional black-eye or bruises, which still blows my mind to this day. Was it their denial or belief that i wouldnt be involved in such?

However, the doctor didnt belive once that a basketball hit me. He asked did the ball bounce all down my body? (big smile)

Actually, my family ( with the exception of my daughter ) Knows everything there is to know about me, so them seeing bruises is no big deal to me. My daughter on the other hand, I think she is just not ready yet to understand and accept that her mom likes to be beaten.

Now there are those at work who know...and to tell the truth, I could care less what they think if I was to walk in with my face bruised.

All three states I have lived in since I became a legal adult have laws requiring that a doctor report any bruises that he/she thinks is suspicious. Being upfront with your doctor about your kink can really cure that problem unless, of course, he/she thinks that kink is plain old abuse.

My freedom and my family are not something I am comfortable risking by having visible marks on my property. I also would be very very upset if Fox had a mark and lied about how he got -- thus no marks that are visible to anyone other than me and him.
