I am an ISTP. A crafter artisan. Apparently I am one of only 10% of the population. Heh. Go figure. It was all accurate, but one thing that was deadly accurate was the "uncanny ability to troubleshoot computers". I could not believe I was reading that, as that is exactly what I do. Pretty cool stuff.

INFP. Took the Keirsey test years ago, but just took it again out of curiosity to see if it'd be the same result; it was.

I've attempted to address this topic several times before, and I do bring it up in my profile. I'm surprised to see so many others with the same type as I.

Mastermind, INTJ. Very solid on all readings. I'm a Dominant, with a few control issues as well. I participate in several discussion lists on the topic on a regular basis. I certainly have a preference for the Rational thinking regardless of the topic.

I'm actually a bit confused as to why something this useful in relationships got shuffled into oblivion under 'Polls and Other Random Stupidity.' I'd say that Moderator on this one certainly had an issue, or a misunderstanding.

Depending on my mood, and recent events I have scored as INFP, INFJ, and INTJ.

Latest is INTJ.

Rational: I am rational to a fault.
Idealist: If it isn't worth doing right, don't bother.
Artisan: I have been designing circuit boards and devious thoughts since age 9. Lately it has been building tables, bondage boards, and writing code!
Guardian: I tend to fall naturally into the role of protector, whether at the bar, or at a friends party. I have the training to back up the role, too.

This description is stunningly accurate - want to know anything about me, just read this: http://typelogic.com/intj.html !!!

This description is also dead-on-balls accurate:

Masterminds will adopt ideas only if they are useful, which is to say if they work efficiently toward accomplishing the Mastermind's well-defined goals. Natural leaders, Masterminds are not at all eager to take command of projects or groups, preferring to stay in the background until others demonstrate their inability to lead. Once in charge, however, Masterminds are the supreme pragmatists, seeing reality as a crucible for refining their strategies for goal-directed action. In a sense, Masterminds approach reality as they would a giant chess board, always seeking strategies that have a high payoff, and always devising contingency plans in case of error or adversity. To the Mastermind, organizational structure and operational procedures are never arbitrary, never set in concrete, but are quite malleable and can be changed, improved, streamlined. In their drive for efficient action, Masterminds are the most open-minded of all the types. No idea is too far-fetched to be entertained-if it is useful. Masterminds are natural brainstormers, always open to new concepts and, in fact, aggressively seeking them. They are also alert to the consequences of applying new ideas or positions. Theories which cannot be made to work are quickly discarded by the Masterminds. On the other hand, Masterminds can be quite ruthless in implementing effective ideas, seldom counting personal cost in terms of time and energy.

It can be good to be rare. Yet it seems we have a fair number of INTJ's here... Certainly more than 1% of respondents

I have always scored as an ISTJ, and these tests were no different with that result. Very accurate description of me, too!

Take care,
Jenn

I am an ISFJ and a Guardian, the combination of which apparently makes me a Protector subtype.

Interesting....I took the M-B a few years ago, and was deemed an INTP. Well, life has taken some interesting turns these past few years, and if it's possible to "change" personality types, I did. Now I'm ISFP. Artisan, Composer, Idealist, Rational. Seems to fit.

Idealists, as a temperament, are passionately concerned with personal growth and development. Idealists strive to discover who they are and how they can become their best possible self -- always this quest for self-knowledge and self-improvement drives their imagination. And they want to help others make the journey. Idealists are naturally drawn to working with people, and whether in education or counseling, in social services or personnel work, in journalism or the ministry, they are gifted at helping others find their way in life, often inspiring them to grow as individuals and to fulfill their potentials.
