Thanks mate I figured it was a reasonable example of how mundane an interrogation can be and how something sio simple as food and drink can be an excelent tool.... I have different advice. If you've never done interrogation, WHY are you looking for a 2-3 DAY marathon session? How about a 30 min scene or something to make sure you're really not going to freak out psychologically and cause permanent harm to your psyche? Then, build up to the day long event.

Ah... the voice of reason ;-) It's actually good advice.

I would agree in most of the cases that people should go slowly into unknown areas. Of course there are exceptions to every rule. Edgeplayers tend to jump into things much faster...

I agree with you IronBear. I always say look at the whole scenario.

How well do you know/trust the person you are playing with?
How well do you deal with things that are drastic/different and/or have you ever done anything extreme?
How are you feeling mentally, physically & emotionally?

All of these factors play a huge role in whether you jump in the deep end or just wade in.

I didn't actually go looking for a 2-3 day scene, the situation just sort of presented itself. I currently engage in a lot of the ativities that i anticipate will be a part of this interrogation scene. I am accustomed to hours of "hard" play at a time....yet never 2 or more days at a time. I know myself very well...and while i see this as an opportunity to learn more about me, i would not put myself in a situation i felt would harm me psychologically. A 30 minute....or even a 6 hour interrogation scene would not do it for me, would not push me.

The person i would be playing with is a Leader in our local community. She owns the local BDSM club and her reputation is beyond reproach.

I live for things that are drastic/different. "Extreme" is such a good friend of mine that it might as well be my middle name.

I do know that it is my intention to rest up prior...and work out any kinks in my body with increased exercise. Still looking into some mind exercises....and open to suggestions.

i have a dumb question. i love the interrogation scenes from film noir; "The Lady in the Lake"; "Double Indemnity"; etc. i'd love to recreate one for awhile; but nothing interests me enough to do it for 3 days without sleep. Can i have what i want?

[grin] You know you can have anything you want. You just need the right partner.

Seriously, the hard part for the dominant in an interrogation scene is to make it last. (A similar thing was in my story "Brat" on the website) In generally, anyone can have a subject screaming out the information in a scene situation (as opposed to a real torture session) in a few minutes.

What's hard is to create the illusion you are inflicting as much pain as you can right from the beginning, but subtly increasing it over time so eventually the subject "breaks."

[aside] What is also difficult is to avoid doing unacceptable damage during the intense parts of the play. This is often what takes the most experience and skill.... another problem for the scene person that doesn't apply in "real world torture."

The secret in "Brat" was that within two or three minutes of beginning playing I had a pretty good idea of what would get me a safeword but I deliberately dragged out the scene because I was enjoying myself.

The scene the story was based on happened a few years ago at CapeX in Charlotte, NC (a wonderful group, by the way) where after my lecture/demo I agreed to let the group raffle a scene with me.

The winner told me that she'd never been in a scene so intense that she had to safeword and she wanted to experience being that intense. The scene that resulted, including the ending, is pretty much as described in the story.
