Ok folks, I posted this down in feature suggestions but the responses have been minimal. I'm curious for your input.

The attached paddle graphic is something I whipped up myself. It's actually a drawing of a paddle a dear friend designed and then had made for me. I created this graphic from scratch.

I thought I'd submit it as an alternative to the current paddle that is being used by people's names (the ranking thingy).

Your thoughts?

Would it work in a game of ping pong?

Wait, it is not a ping pong ball I am slapping with it. I vote "yes"

hahaha I haven't drawn any to date, but I could give it a whirl. Don't you like those? I like them a lot, I miss having four sets!

Glad you like the paddle. :)

Well thanks for your input. Let's see what the mods have to say about it. I'm sure somebody made the one they're using and I don't mean to step on their toes. I think it loses it's discernibility when it's so small, though.

Well I've recently acquired a 2nd one... wow I racked up those posts fast!

They are ok I guess, Maybe it’s because I’m not really into handcuffs. But then, they are internationally recognizable… I guess I want little crop whips instead!

I tried to do a coiled single tail, but when you reduce the size it becomes unrecognizable. I've got a 'thing' for single tails. ;)

The working size is an issue. So you've got a KISS situation with it.

Yeah... that is the issue with iconizing and reducing.

I've always wanted to learn the single tail. I'm trying to find someone local to teach me.

If you're serious then get a decent single tail, I'd start with a signal whip (3 to 4 feet) and contact me. I'd bet that I could give you pointers that could have you doing a safe job of it in just a few weeks. It's not as esoteric as some would have you believe.

Besides, I pay a flat rate per month for all calls to anywhere in the U.S. and Canada...so we could talk on the phone for (essentially) free.

I'm dead serious actually. And I have a similar phone plan. When I will have aquired the instrument, I will contact you via collarme mail if that's all fine & dandy.

Gee you are a nice lady Suz! ;-) *grin

I took your image and shrunk it down to the same image height as the current ping pong paddle image, and it looks pretty good. It's a little wider than the current paddle image, but not prohibitively I hope. Here it is.

Well thank you! I think it retains it's authenticity quite well.

As for it being a bit wider, we can rotate it a bit to be more upright if the need arises.

:)

That's definitely fine and dandy. In fact, you can contact me here or at aohell. Nick is the same.

Don't know if you're interested or not, but I usually get my whips from Mike Murphy (www.murphywhips.com). He's in Australia so it takes a little while to get them (not as long as it takes to get a wheeler, though) and if the exchange rate is good sometimes it makes the prices not too shabby. I like his work and have had good luck with his whips.

Isn't that pretty! That definitely gets an "aye" from me as well.

Do you have Vonage, Suz? I do, and for $30/mo. Anywhere in the United States and Canada is a "local" call, unlimited calling (no minutes charges, or primetime fees), call waiting, caller id, voice mail, conference calling, and call logs. I've had it since January, and I've experienced downtime once, for about ten minutes. I told a friend about it, they signed up, and we both got a free month. Not bad!

I like your paddle much better, although can we still have our ping pong tornament? Oh, I don't think many regularly read the features suggestions. (As if you need to be told to try posting here. OK, I had a brain fart.)

Aye? Like in a something a stupid Scott would say? (M'Lady, that is a picture don't handl... ow,ow,ow.)

Due to technicall difficulties we will not bring you the rest of iwill's post.
