Status: offline 		Ohh I don't know if i like it or not, much more detailed but possibly to much. I know this might get moved to OT but i think it probably belongs here. I think this new format will make it harder to find out what peoples kink intrestes are. Especially since things that people are curios about don't even make it your profile if you answer every question. Time to set all the sports ones to no opinion to help shorten my list!

how do other people feel? Are there still things missing that people want? What are you putting no opinion to so the important stuff gets on your profile?

Status: offline 		I like it, but agree it does result in some l-o-n-g profiles. I solved that problem by going through and switching anything I did not feel strongly about one way or another to "no opinion." That seemed to shorten things up quite a bit. You can skip entire sections if you like.

Don't feel strongly about? I don't get it. Maybe i am just to freaking opinionated? I noticed it still seems to be missing an interest catagory for age play... I remember someone posting that on one of the other boards.

Status: offline 		I like the new interests options though I think it still needs a bit of tweaking here an there. One thing that occured to me today was that perhaps there is a better way of organizing and presenting it in the profile. I was thinking that perhaps they could be grouped by category as they are in the interests options... that is.. Athletics, BDSM, Hobbies, etc. Then in each group to indicated how much you like them, anything other than "no opinion" gets little dots beside it. Something like

***** Bondage
** Whips
**** Watersports

Thus 5 green dots would be the same as "Live's for it"
Two yellow might be the same as "Curious"
And 4 red dots the same as "Hate it"

You get the idea. That would give a more visual representation and organize the interests by category which makes it easier to sort out for someone reading the profile.

I do like all the optional interests, and I'm sure they can add a few more here an there as needed. Its a good idea, just needs a bit of refinement I think.

I think it's kinda nice to see more about a person, but there's some big problems with the format.

A) It makes for freakin' long profiles.

B) It doesn't really tell you anything. I could put that I have a strong interest in spanking and a strong interest in knifeplay, but it doesn't tell you that I only bottom to one and I only top the other. The "like/strongly like/don't like/curious/etc" format also just simply doesn't work for some of the items.

I'd really like to see the new set of "interests" moved to perhaps a second page on the profiles, if not reworked entirely.

I'm afraid it may have become a case of "be careful what you wish for"; I certainly welcomed the thought of more detailed interests, but now in an effort to be all inclusive, it just seems too much, and I am now wishing I had my little profile, with my little journal, and 5 or 6 kink interests. M

Status: offline 		So far I think its kind of novel and interesting. The only problem I have with it, is that it did not save my selections as I chose. On a couple sections, it just kinda randomized and changed answers about. I went back and changed them..... and still some did not save the way I chose. I think its trying to top me :P

If i am looking for people to connect with on a social level based on my love of amusement parks i am going to go hang at Six Flags, my love of books...the library. On Collar Me...i am looking for kink, bottom line. If you hunt, fish, bowl....thats great, but it is unlikely that the two of us would ever have a conversation about that. I say leave the vanilla stuff off the profiles.

Status: offline 		Overall I like it so far -- all new things need tweaking and changes can be made as the mods have time and desire.

I'm wondering if it will be searchable in the future.

For example it would be cool if I could not only search for a bisexual slave interested in the same kinky things as me but also one who liked science fiction, RPGs, oldies music and history.

I know next to nothing about programming for computer though so this may be quite difficult.

Status: offline 		pointless, but I've always been annoyed trying to sum myself up with radio buttons and check boxes.

You go through the trouble of laying out 200 interests then naturally everyone contacts everyone based primarily on their orientation looks and geography and then guess what happens, you end up getting to know one another with "So I see you like amusement parks"

Also, wheres the check box for "loves: fomenting rebellion (expert)"?

Status: offline 		Interesting. Shame that the HTML is invalid and it does not render in multiple web browsers (not the browser's fault). If the nifty webmaster(s) want to checkout http://validator.w3.org they can improve the HTML of the entire site so that it works for everyone.

And I myself am constantly wishing more people HAD vanilla stuff on their profiles. I may be looking for kink, but that doesn't necessarily mean I'm looking for ONLY common interests in kink.

It's impossible to include everyone's interests without having thousands of entries, which is why Mod1 solicited input from members a while back. Too bad you didn't bother to submit any of your ideas for inclusion.
