I find a book that was useful for me in terms of understanding motivation was "The War of Art" by Steven Pressfield. It is a book written by a writer for writers but works across the board. It's sort of a cross between Sun-Tzu's "The Art of War" and Julie Cameron's "The Artist's Way" and the goal is to help the reader overcome Resistance. The further away the payoff, the great Resistance one will have to overcome. This book is one of those easy reads that you can pick up and put down and is very insightful in helping you identify where Resistance comes from and how to battle it.

So now back to writing this thesis that only pays off in Spring of 2006... damn you be Resistance!!

Well my next improvement goal is to take a massage course. That way I might feel more confident when I give Master a massage. As my grandfather always said 'If a job is worth doing, then it's worth doing well.'

I'm sure I won't lack for volunteers to practice on.

I would find the one that I sent away and tell her how stupid and immature I was. (of course I was only 24) but in hindsight you just know......
