A lady I know started a yahoo group called "submissive check" where we can share REALTIME information on the men who contact us. (For some reason, many lying wankers never seem to realize that WOMEN NETWORK). It's been really helpful for us in spreading information on who got abusive after the second date, or who is married, etc. We're not slamming, just sharing actual events.

So much of what we like is relative.......I have friends who will *never* compete with me for the same men, since our ideas of a dream date are so dissimilar. I do wish there was some way we could flag the genuinely dangerous, like my ex----mental illness, weapons charges, threatening phone calls, stalking........ But what can be done?

And this might work fine - right up until someone decides to vindictively share information that isn't true. It always happens in such circumstances.

There is no way to do so (other than the already established legal "sexual predator" lists and even those are a total failure) without begging for it to be abused.

We've been lucky with the submissive check list in that it's pretty much been word of mouth and invitation, so we know that the women are not vindictive in nature--so far. We're also careful to watch the nature of the posts---ie "This person made two dates with me and stood me up twice", or "Will not commit to f2f meetings", rather than "wow, what a loser". Even when it comes to the ex, all I can say is "be vv careful."

It's incredibly easy to just start badmouthing someone, and for rumors to spread. In my own scene family, there has been a rift due to just that kind of thing.

Jesus, (that’s the late Mr. Christ of biblical fame) you brought down a deluge upon yourself, now didn't you?
You have now gotten far more responses than you probably bargained for and the reason is simple. We are no different in our approach to the social behavioral tendencies of our many disparate entities than the vanilla world. We sometimes think that we are "above" the rest and are inclined on occasion to consider ourselves, dare I say it, "superior." Now, before you get on your high horse, consider this, we name those who do not follow or are unaware of our proclivities, "vanilla." The term is pejorative, QED.
By opening a thread titled "Phonies and Wannabes" you really played your inexperienced hand but at least you were being honest. Life is what you make it, and like any other endeavour to get what you want takes much hard work and then some. Instead of complaining about the P and W's think of the Henry Ford approach, "I just got another NO, that means the next yes is closer."
I like the tat but what do YOU look like?

And just who would decide who belongs on the list?? Do we make up a checklist of traits the person must have? Or perhaps, must not have???

One persons phoney is another persons real life.

Because I am not looking for anyone.. and have no pic.... and refuse to give my number.. etc, etc, etc.... apparently I am fake.
and all this time I thought I was a real flesh and blood person ... go figure!

The tendancy I've noticed is that if it isn't what the person you're talking to does or wants or approves of, it isn't 'real', 'true', and the person performing the offending act or holding the opposing view is a 'wannabe' or a 'fake'.
People that don't throw those designations around tend to be able to hear another person's point of view without going into spasms.

Yeah sure. That old saying that starts: "Hell hath no fury . . . " applies to everyone but the special gals in your invitation only club. Since you're so careful to watch the nature of the posts it also means you can also design posts to meet the standard for properly blackballing somebody whether it's truthful or not. I think you're just flattering and deluding yourselves about how great you all are.

Whew! Sorry I mentioned the list!

I'm not here to say it's the greatest thing ever, just that it's worked so far, without utterly imploding. (miraculous? perhaps.) I only mentioned it to offer what a group of women WHO KNOW EACH OTHER are doing to apprise each other of what the online men are doing.
