He always starts out pushing the cart. When he wanders off to grab something off of a shelf, I hijack the cart. This lasts until I forget that I've hijacked the cart and wander off to fetch something, giving him the opening he needs to reclaim it. We continue to swap back and forth like that until the shopping is done.

Whomever the Dominant says. For me, I find it easier to look for stuff if I'm not maneuvering the cart. This is, of course, assuming that there is someone with me. I often go alone since I live alone.

Both my dom and I push the cart. He'll always make me get it before we go in though. But if I ask him nicely to push for awhile (usually after its very full and quite heavy), he will.

Nella,
Try stabbing the potato several times with a fork before you put it in the oven. That releases the steam and it won't blow up.

No, but you can put on some body armor first if you want to be sure.

Nella, I have never had a potato explode on me. But I have always heard that if cooking them in a microwave, yes, holes are necessary to let out the steam that builds up inside of them.

I have never been told to do this when cooking in a regular oven - it might dry them out. On the other hand, I would risk dry potatoes rather than face cleaning them up after an explosion. (You wouldn't have neighbors complaining about the noise, either)

Although it may be different under certain circumstances, my Domina usually does, this frees me up to be able to go down the ailses and grab the stuff She knows she wants.

I do it in both the micro and the reg. oven,(poke holes in them) and I learned the same way nella did that if you are going to bake sweetpotaotes or yams, poke hole in them also. I thought because of thinner skins I would be safe, so much for thinking, LOL

as for the question, it kind of bounces from me to Master, If I have it and take my hands off it Master hijacks it and takes off, and I am there walking the ilse doing the Man way of shopping, trying to carry it all in my arms and looking for Master, than he shows up and asks "Where did you go," which earns him a look. LOL I much prefer to shop by myself, Master is in too much of a hurry and that just irks me, can't comparison shop and get the best value and the lowest price type thing, he is a tornado going thru the store, LOL

Whew..I don't feel so bad now..I have blown up a potatoe before..and I did it in the microwave..Yes I did the holes..Who knows and it's just my luck!

As for the cart, no matter the relationship...the other person pushed the cart while I gathered the food!..Sounds like I am in the woods or something!

Respectfully,
sultry

The Owner pushes the cart while I run back and forth retrieving stuff, sometimes I am told to 'stay and guard the cart'. The Owner also always puts the items on the checkout counter and is always the one who pays.

Another thing we do is; He will give me a dollar amount and I spend within a dollar of that amount. I add everything up in my head as we go along. I always get praise for this. Also the money I save by using coupons and in store discounts He spends on treats for me.

Just like driving a car, it all depends on what mood I'm in and what I want to do. If I need to intently "shop", meaning looking closely, comparing prices or looking up my database of prices on my PDA (I mentioned the nerd-thing, right?) then my companion will handle the cart. If I'm in a hurry, I will push the cart, usually out of a control thing.

I move fast when I can and need to, so, it's about going at MY pace. The cart changes hands according to MY pace. If I'm in a slow mood, I'll mosey with the cart and have my companion do the scrambling. If I'm energetic and able, I usually outrun everyone else and they are lucky to keep up. If I'm with the whole pride(family), then there's no cart at all, since boys tend to like to prove their studliness by packing it all without a cart.

In your BDSM relationship, who pushes the cart at the grocery store?

Intriguing question and one I have thought about before. My submissive pushes the cart no matter what kind of store we are shopping in. Seeing as I tend to move fast while shopping then stop or zig zag to check out something that has caught My eye this can be challenging. However, when I am having trouble walking then I push the cart so I can stay on My feet. He also carries any bags that accumulate when shopping for clothes or stuff.

What irks Me is how he manages to always put the cart right between Me and the shelf I am looking at. He seems to have a real knack for doing that even when he has not seen the shopping list.

I do most of the grocery shopping alone due to Master's health, but when He does come with me He pushes the cart. I'm the one with the list and who compares the prices. But sometimes I get left behind cos He does hate shopping and wants to get it done as quickly as possible!

Usually, I do the shopping alone. But, if Master is with me, I push. And grab things. He just kinda....moseys along.

I rarely go to a grocery store. I prefer the market. So there are no carts. If I'm shopping for me and he's tagging along, he can carry my bags. If he's shopping for mainly him and I'm tagging along, I will offer to carry some though I've noticed most men get all weird about letting me carry bags for them. I'll insist only if they look like they can't handle it.

When I go to the grocery store with anyone, it doesn't matter who pushes the cart. It's very much arbitrary and again depends on who we are primarily shopping for.

If I let pet go shoping alone she'll buy to much stuff that we don't need. If I let her push the cart, she pushes it to areas we don't need to go and try to put things we don't need in it. In the event that she goes alone I give her a spending amount. Ever dollar over gives her a swat on the bum with my switch.

But alas, economicly and time wise, it's best that I push the cart.
