subcharmedlilone -> To tell the truth or not to tell the truth (8/13/2005 7:46:49 PM)

I am really upset, I would like to know why so many sub/slaves when being interviewed and talk to about joining a family feel they have to lie. I have 2 things i dont like thevies and liers, An believe me in the last 2 years we have been serarching i have run into several. Honesty is what our family is built on and i really wish all sub/slaves would be honest. To tell you of a little dishonesty we most reacently ran across, there is this certain subs/slaves on Collarme, that proceed to put in their profile one day that they are now property of Dom/Domee, and then not 24 hours late i find they have a second profile, if your going to have 2 profiles at least dont use the same pic thats a dead giveaway. Then in less than 24 hours the first profile is changed back. And the 2nd deleted. My suggestions for all sub/slaves if you are talking to a family/or Dom/Domee be upfront with what u expect, and be honest that is the only way any kind of realtionship is going to work. So Please if i e-mail u or u e-mail me be honest and up front WE ARE. HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY. THANKS ALL

Sorry for repeating myself but who knows maybe this time it might wake certain people up

....well... i think your rant could probably be towards all people.. not just submissive people involved in poly families. ~ i think honesty is nearly always best (within reason - meaning blurting out in the middle of a business meeting "I love anal sex!!" isn't a grand idea even if it's honest)...

i wish people in general would be more honest... dominant people.. submissive people and everyone else. Especially when it comes to feelings and relationship expectations... an'stuff.

I agree. Honesty is the way to go here. If you can't be truthful here where noone can judge you how do you think you can be honest in person?

now that you've gotten that out of your system...isn't it a much better place to weed out the ones you would want in your home...like say on here instead of in the livingroom...just a thought

if you lie, no one will believe you after that.

hmmm..... i do wish E/everyone was more honest, Dominants and submissives/slaves and just people in generale. It would save a lot of pain for all those involve. Sometimes it has seem at leaste to me, that it is more a case of F/folks not knowing T/themselves well enough to know what is the truth of a thing.
Sometimes, learning more about O/ourselves can sure come at the expense of a lot of pain for a lot of P/people.
Sometimes too, i have to wonder if it is because people say what they think the One to whom they are talking with, wish to hear so that they will be more 'accepted'.
That is always a mistake well i think so anyways. It is better by far to say what sit within one's heart, than to have to back up the mental truck later and try try try to remembre just which thing one told to Whom, and what all the details were.
There is a saying (i got not one idea who said it first), that 'a lie will come back to bite you'. i think that is a good saying and one to remembre in Life.
respectfully submitted,

I'm really big on the honesty issue myself but sometimes its a matter of changing or forgetfulness. You can't tell though unless you get to know the person.

But you are completely correct that using the same picture but changes the information in the profile slightly is really setting that person up for not only no longer being believed but also for a kinky Darwin award.

How many people though would do enough research to notice two of the same pictures but different profiles?

In my very short time here I've noticed several notes to me that suggest my profile isn't being read beyond 'dominant sadist'. So that suggests to me that some folks wouldn't notice the different profiles.

Love, Peace, Hugs, Kisses, Whips & Chains,
TammyJo
