Occasionally, I see profile photos that make me feel kinda weirded out.... because they look like people from the puritanical church I used to go to. I mean EXACTLY like them... does that happen to anyone else? Or is it just me?

i have never experienced it. Perhaps theya re pepole from the chruch.

well... I want to message them and ask them if they have gone to my old church but I guess that would not be appropriate... do you think it is?

If you see someone you know on here, would you message and ask them if it's really them?

I personally never belonged to a puritanical church so I wouldn't recognize any of those people anyway.............why don't you hit a couple up and ask them? Might be interesting convos -- who knows?

It might come across as friendly or creepy depending on how you word the email. I once saw a profile on another site and recognized the woman as a Domme who had been at a play party I attended the weekend before. She seemed fairly approachable at the party (though I didn't speak to her personally) so I sent her an email to say hello. Just short, sweet and friendly. We've been friendly every since.

I doubt anyone in my church is interested in kink. It would be semi-relieving to find them on this website though. I would definitely mail them.

Having been out of the local scene for a while, I lost touchwith who was active here. Now that I am getting back to things tho, I see a lot of familiari faces. I can't tell if I know them all from live events, other sites, or from the 'nilla world.

When in doubt, I say something along the lines of "I think we may have met briefly at..." Better stay friendly and casual. In your case, I might open commincations with something other than church, and work up to it once you have a rapport.

If I saw someone I knew on here from the 'nilla world, I'd go ahead and send em a message. Something along the lines of "Hey, nice to know I'm not the only perv at work/school/church

" or some other light, joking comment, just to let them know that you did, in fact, notice them...

But that's just me

Sure why not ask them.I would most likey ask if they went to this particular church first before naming specific names

I ran into someone here that I KNEW I had met before.

Then, after a few emails back and forth, I discovered that he had been a drill sergeant at Fort Sill in 1999, the same boot camp I went to in that same year. We both had a good laugh over it.

Something like that happened to me just the other day. I was reading the message boards, and a certain poster who was flooding the boards' pic looked oddly familiar. He looked like the guy that got me involved in the scene. Popped the BDSM cherry if you will. Well, it turns out that it was him, but he was posting under a fake name and location. He's since been booted. (He really was creepy). Too bad the bar he works at is my favorite...
