i do know one of the main reasons i really never pursued looking further into TS is i would be willing for an operation only if i could experience orgasms like woman do as well. i don't believe that's possible, so keeping the ole johnson. lol
Any other suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated Euryanx.

Thanx for the kind words. You're lucky in that you've got a small frame, and i see that your hair is long. All helps. Getting on hormones makes a big difference too, if you want to go out of the house and try to become "passable."

According to the professional journals and research, 7 out of 10 post-op MtF transsexuals claim to be orgasmic. I find this rather hard to believe. Any time you're doing surgery, you're cutting nerve endings... desensitizing the area. If just 2 out of the 10 are lying, the odds are more like 50% that you'll ever have an orgasm again. Which is not the greatest of odds. I mean, would anyone be willing to take a 50-50 chance on ever experiencing an orgasm again? Personally, it doesn't seem the risk, but like i said, i discovered i am not a classic transsexual in the true sense. I know plenty of post-ops who have NEVER had an orgasm, and could care less. Getting rid of their penis and having a vagina was all that was important to them. I remember one post-op telling me she looked at SRS like have an appendectomy - she considered her penis as "useless as her appendix." (spelling?)

Good luck on your journey,

S.

SadisticPrincess -> RE: Levels of Feminization (7/29/2005 1:21:28 PM)

A friend in the scene is an over-70 yr old MtF who had her surgery about a year and a half ago. Orgasms NOT a problem for her. (sharing really intimate intel also not a problem lol) She had her surgery in Thailand, as did a close friend of hers. Both report tremendous success in the area of sexual pleasure, so I would say that surgery has improved dramatically, and that it pays to get an expert to do the work.

MstrssPassion -> RE: Levels of Feminization (7/29/2005 5:23:53 PM)

My girl has not had her surgery yet, so I can't comment as to post-op for her. On the other hand, a very close friend of ours had her surgery about 18 months ago & she is very orgasmic. Her surgery was done in Montreal by Dr. Brassard.

Thank you for the feedback on Gender operation. Though that is yet a few years down the road. As Euryanx said he was on shots for 3 years and earlier this past month i just opened dialogue with my doc friend of my nature of submissiveness (which he fully agreed) and my intent to pursue a BDSM life. i'll be seeing himm in 2 weeks and i'll be springing the latest info unvailed of my desires of womanhood. i am fortunate to have such an excelent profession doctor and close friend that i can discuss anything about myself and not be judged as well as knowing i'll have his support.
I did my 1st feminized makeup session directly after my last posting on the 28th and took pictures of myself and am using them as my profile pics for now. i'll be doing newer shots soon, now i have some good makeup & items to fix my hair. just need to find some decent outfits.
soundin like a woman already. LOL

Euryanx -> RE: Levels of Feminization (7/31/2005 9:41:01 PM)

Rae,

Looks like you're off to a good start.

Some recommendations...

First and foremost, enjoy yourself. It's all about having fun... self expression.
Plus it's about empathy... sharpening your perceptions. Open up and
learn what you can from other women.

You said you're talking to a doctor. Talk to a therapist too. Don't self medicate.
Don't pretend that you know what's going to be perfect for you 10 years from
now and make any radical changes to your body that you could live to regret.

Take it slow. Baby steps.

By talking with a therapist you'll better understand just why you are stretching
the boundaries of your gender... and just how far you should go.

Respectfully,
Steve

Steve,

Thank you so much for posting your website.
This link: http://www.steffiemor.com/hormones.html
should be mandatory reading for anyone even thinking of taking hormones.

tabihaaz and all,

When he was in his early twenties, a friend of mine ended up in a relationship where his former owner put hormones into his food. At first, he was unaware. Then his submissive side took over, his breasts grew and his ability to attain an orgasm was nearly lost. He was often weepy and though he was normally aggressive, liking to be a switch, he found himself to be very docile. The hair was removed from his chest and since he didn't have much facial hair, it was left alone. He was kept in constant bondage, dressed as a woman and/or used as a sex toy. Even before the hormones, he was what you would call a pretty boy. Long blond hair, high cheek bones, kissable lips, etc.

The hormone treatment, bondage, dressing as a woman, and other activities went on for months. He really has no track of time for this period in his life. It was at first against his will, then well who knows? "Stockholme Syndrome" applies to his situation. He lived in fear of being sold, castrated, beaten, etc. It wasn't pretty or romantic.

His owner even assigned two full time keepers (two sexy women) to keep him aroused. Even when he was sleeping, they played with his body, teasing him, keeping him on the edge. He was rarely allowed to climax, and by this time, the hormones were so overpowering, that he usually couldn't when allowed. This pleased his owner to no end. He was a cherished pet, an experiment, a toy to play with and to threaten or a slave to be discarded.

How does the story end? He was kidnapped by his family, moved across the country and given lots of therapy. He looks back on this time both fondly and with many regrets. The submissive part of him loved it. It's easy for him to romantisize particular scenes though he knows that if he had stayed with his owner he may not have survived. The part of him that needed to be a fully functioning man was frustrated and happy to be free. He was and continues to be very grateful that his former owner didn't castrate him as threatened.

Note: This true story happened many, many years ago. Decades ago, in fact.
So you can see, this type of femming has been going on for quite awhile.

If he had been a willing participant, not living in fear, under the care of a doctor, then this might have been a tale of a very happy former man turned woman & sex toy.

Euryanx -> RE: Levels of Feminization (8/1/2005 4:51:24 PM)

Ruby,

Quite a story. Sounds pretty bizarre. Hormones should NEVER be taken like that. You must be under
a doctor's care because there are certain dangerous side effects - particularly blood clots and liver damage.
When I was on them i went every 3 months for a blood test.

Thanks for the endorsement. [;)]

Just as a footnote to the page on my old site. I list Spironaldactone as the testosterone blocker that
I took for many years. There is something new out called Androcur. It's not FDA approved, so you can't
get it in the States, but you can get it mail order from overseas. Androcur is 10X more potent than
Spiro, and much better if you're serious about transition. Spiro is a drug used for other purposes, but has
a testosterone blocker affect - but that's not what it's used for. Unfortunately that's the only thing available
in the States. Androcur was designed to block testosterone production, so it's MUCh more effective. I took
Androcur during 2003-2004 and noticed a remarkable difference. Take it for just 1-2 months - and you don't
need to go through an orchidectomy - you're "chemically castrated." When you knock out the testosterone
from the male body, everything becomes a lot softer, like your skin, hair and muscle tone.

Hope that helps...

S.

Instead of Androcur, another possibility which is available in the United States is Proscar. Both drugs normally are prescribed for treatment of prostate cancer and both are potent testosterone blockers.

In fact, Propecia (which is the same thing as Proscar, just in a smaller dose) is prescribed to prevent hair loss which is due to the effect of dihydro-testosterone.

If you want to get your drugs via a doctor's prescription in the U.S. either Proscar or Propecia may work for you.

stef -> RE: Levels of Feminization (8/1/2005 9:09:25 PM)

Finasteride (Proscar/Propecia) is not a testosterone blocker. Finasteride inhibits the production of 5-alpha-reductase which is the enzyme responsible for converting testosterone to DHT. In effect, Finasteride increases the serum testosterone levels slightly because it is stopping the conversion reaction to DHT. It's use in HRT for male to female transsexuals is for the same reasons men use it, to stop and reverse hair loss. It also has the side effect in some people to significantly reduce/halt the production of coarse body hair.

Cyproterone Acetate (Androcur/Cyprostat) is an androgen receptor antagonist with a very slight gonadal androgen production inhibitor component that binds to the receptors testosterone normally binds to, lessening it's effects on the endocrine system.

To truly block the production of testosterone, you need a GnRH agonist but there are often significant side effects associated with them.

sfgrrl, you sound like you know what you're talking about. [;)] Sincere thanks for the additional info.
I can't give you the medical logic behind Androcur, all I can tell you is that it was more potent
than taking spiro. Can you tell us any more about the "GnRH agonist" you mentioned? What side effects?

Chris, i can't comment on propecia or proscar because i've never tried either - but i appreciate your
desire to help. You are one of the most supportive people here on these boards. You've got a
great attitude.

Well, thank you! But of course, I was wrong in what I said. And Stef has once again shown her amazing knowledge of far ranging and often esoteric subjects.

But....erm.... are we getting off topic? [;)]

stef -> RE: Levels of Feminization (8/1/2005 9:40:34 PM)

GnRH agonists are gonadotropin releasing hormones that act upon the pituitary in such a way as to reduce androgen production output by overstimulating then rapidly desensitizing the pituitary to GnRH.

Some of the nastier side effect of the various forms of GnRH (Nafarelin Acetate/Leuprorelin Acetate/Goserelin Acetate) are cardiac failure, anaphylaxis and obstructive pulmonary disease. The more severe reactions are common to the time release injection forms of the drugs (Leuprorelin Acetate/Goserelin Acetate) which are hard to counteract once administered.

pup -> RE: Levels of Feminization (8/2/2005 5:04:40 AM)

just fyi ..

UCLA is currently studying some interesting metabolic effects of 2 drugs in coalition.

Wellbutrin (Bupropion) .. and Micronised progesterone

The libido enhancing effects of progesterone have been known for a couple years now.

Apparently wellbutrin metabolizes the progesterone at a faster rate, thus easing any ill effects on the kidneys and liver that the hormonal treatments may cause.

Interestingly enough the study was originally started as wellbutrin and cimetidine (an over the counter stomach drug) caused very rapid gynecomastia (male breast enlargement) in a number of people.

The growth that occured in others was reported to a C-cup in a period of 2 to 4 months. The rapid change was what brought the study to the forefront.

The whole study found very strong health factors and a lot more study has to go into it..

However the metabolic reactions may lead to much less liver and system damage associated with HRS in time.

And the metabolic reaction increased the effect of libido enhancement in the progesterone.

Kind of interesting schtuff

Euryanx -> RE: Levels of Feminization (8/7/2005 10:22:27 AM)

sfgrrl and pup,

Extreme thanks for the add'l info. Thank goodness i'm no longer into taking hormones, because when i was, i was willing to risk anything to become more feminine.

Went out last night enfemme to dinner and a movie with a friend i met here on Collarme. It was the first time i've gone out dressed as a woman since January.

I think to a great degree i lost my center, and my life had gotten out of balance. I'd gone too far to the dark side (girl side), especially so since i was never going to go through reassignment surgery. I think these last 8 months have been good for me. I needed to reclaim my boy side.

That said, I didn't think my femme side would just go away. All it took was a gentle push from a Domme woman that i met here on Collarme, and the right timing, and out i went. At first i didn't think i could pull it off without the hormones and without my long hair - but surprisingly things went great! My new avatar pix and the pix on my profile were taken last night by my friend before we went out to dinner.

At first i wasn't sure i should go for it, but my friend was so encouraging, telling me that i looked great, that she bolstered my courage enough to just say "What the heck." Was glad i did too. Dinner was great, as was the movie (we saw the "Wedding Crashers" - highy recommended for a good laugh!). Usually my radar can pick up if i've been "clocked" but everything went smoothly.

Kudos to my new femme Domme friend from Collarme! Thank you for the encouragement!

All of which proves to me, that you really can meet nice people here through this site.

Once again,
Steffie

Oumae -> RE: Levels of Feminization (8/8/2005 7:30:12 AM)

your pic looks great Steffie, glad you had a good time.
