I think they disabled personal avitars. Something to do with the changes that forced the creative writing board to go down and bdsm pics not allowed to be posted in profiles.

miti has seen Neopets avatars here....so there must be a way?

*ponders Neopets on a BDSM site and just rollsssssss*

"It killed Old Vincent the Ripper," said Boy Willie. "He choked to death on a concubine."
There was no sound but the hiss of snow in the fire and a number of people thinking fast. "I think you mean cucumber," said the bard. [The Last Hero]

It's a forums rating you won't get off vanilla and onto something else till you have 60 posts or so and it goes from there.

If your avatar is missing...

Just an FYI...
The first time I lost my avatar... I sent the note as this link instructed. They agreed that my avatar was ok & they put it back up.

The second time my avatar went poof I sent a note again & this time I did not receive a reply. That same week I also made a report to support about that pesky chat program & how even though I block people from emailing me they are able to request chats. I asked if there was some way to disable the chat feature for my profile. The support person wrote back that I could disable my profile.

Gee, thanks for your support!!

So I did something that I very rarely do... I gave up.

I gave up on the avatar & selected one of the ones offered.

BTW... the avatar I was using that was removed was simply a rose with the word passion on it... no BDSM, no nudity... no reason to be removed & my profile photo did not default over to take its place

Have you made any changes to your profile (such as your signature)? This can cause your avatar to become disabled. The only way to get it fixed is to contact Moderator 1

The "vanilla" and its accompanying symbol will change as you reach different marks, so to speak, in your posting career....as far as I know, you can't change it yourself. (Although MizSuz has "Beautiful Sadist" under hers and I dont believe Ive ever seen anyone else with that designation...)

I guess, at least in the forums, the answer to that whole "Does dominance have to be earned" question is "yes" after all... ;-)

I dont understand why we can not have custom avatars, most people have them!
when we got the account we accepted the terms and i'm pretty sure one of the items was about submitting inappropriate material.

You can always upload your favorite/custom avatar as your main photo in your profile then it can be used in the forums. Then upload other photo's of yourself if you desire people to be able to see your picture.

Photo's in profiles can not be of items places or things. So unless an avitar you wanted to post was not one of those things you won't be allowed to post it.

Did you read this post that KatyLied referred to above? It's pretty self-explanatory.
