I had the most incredible night last night. Well, the whole weekend was amazing, but it ended on an awesome note. W/we had a couple of amazing scenes that I will not forget any time soon.

The point of this thread, though, is to point out the music I used for one of them. I do not know how many people are familiar with the band eRa. Could be everyone for all I know, but I have not been here long enough to know so I will point it out for those who may not.

eRa released three Celtic/Dance fusion CDs. I found out about them on a BDSM site, but I downloaded the MP3s before ordering to see if I would like them. They are not exactly the easiest CDs to get your hands on but they are well worth the special order. They really set the mood for a good S&M scene. Couple it with mood lighting, particularly a dozen candles or so and whatever else you use to set the stage and it is amazing. Very dramatic. Along with good technique it quite easily puts Your sub or slave into subspace.

I just thought I would share that with everyone. I am going to try using Enya as well. That is next.

Not a big fan of Enya, but this group is wonderful, I am going to get their CDs when I get some money in.

roflmao!! haha. That's rich. As if that is not the funniest thing I have seen in some time. I think it would go over like a porkchop at a Jewish wedding if I played that during a scene though. lol.

Enya puts me to sleep.

Give me 9 Inch Nails, Dead can dance or Hawkwind anyday.

Much more non-linear and less fluffy

Oh yeah...or Diamanda Galas. Talk about tortured, agnoized, atypical music. She's brilliant - not for everyone, but brilliant none the less.

I have never heard of her. I'll have to check her out.

The Genitortures are some really crazy, all female goth/fetish music....the Lunachicks are also really cool.

I recommend the Cirque de Soleil soundtracks. Most of them are great for scening and mood music. Also, I have always liked most of Apocalyptica's stuff. Of course that could be because I have a high preference for cello.

In case anyone goes looking for them, it's Cirque de Soleil, not Cirque de Sol. (I'm an addict!) Some of their music can be great for a scene.

Here's her website: http://www.diamandagalas.com/home.htm Not sure if there are any samples there to listen to, but there used to be some really wild photos.

Well if we're gonna talk about hard hitting chicks, let's also add Kittie, Cradle of Filth, Lacuna Coil (ok, Lacuna Coil could be not quite so hard), Otep and Nightwish.

If you're looking for 'enigma-esque' mood music then check out delerium. Frankly, I'm so sick of that kind of music that the next time someone brings an enigma cd to a play party I may find another use for the disc.

Well, the chewtoy thing was news to me, but frisbee and coaster I've done. The truth, however, is that I had something a little more...invasive...in mind when I suggested I'd find another use for the disc.

My dog will eat anything. You should see what the bugger did to My wallet, credit cards, OHIP card and driver's license.
