Just a Caveat...we are in the middle of an election up here, and our Constitution has a strange device known as the "Not withstanding clause", which basically allows the government to say...regardless of what the Constitution, or the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, or the Supreme Courts says, it is still illegal. http://www.parl.gc.ca/information/library/PRBpubs/bp194-e.htm Granted there are limitations on its use, and I cannot see it being used in a case such as this, there has been some talk amongst the supporters of the Conservative party about invoking it to overturn the same-sex marriage ruling. And unfortunatly for the spread of progressive thinking, the Conservatives look like they may just have a shot at winning....oh well, terribly hard and difficult come, easy go.
