That is an incredibly common problem with that crapola program. Go tohttp://www.oldversion.com/download.php?idlong=941acb7afe280a9942af48cfa5e56224 and download Yahoo 6. Then, without uninstalling it download and install Yahoo 7 right over top. That should help you get past that little glitch.

Thank you SirKenin.

It starts to download and then stops.
It's like something stops it from going forward.

Wonder if I can scan for something?
Meaning scan for the missing Dll File or
re download it somehow?

Sincerely, Ant

The missing DLL should be part of Yahoo 6 as well. Do you still have that installed?

Try uninstalling Yahoo 7 along with any associated programs such as Yahoo extras, Yahoo toolbar etc. that may have installed themselves while you were attempting to install Yahoo 7. Then go back and try downloading Yahoo 6 followed by the upgrade for 7.

You might have to uninstall all Yahoo related apps, and no doubt you have the whole kit and kaboodle installed as that is Yahoo's default preference, and then run a registry cleaner to get rid of all the crap left over in the registry. I am not sure, but you might have to delete a Yahoo control out of the Downloaded Program Files directory as well. I know MSN puts one there. I have not used Yahoo in a long time because I hate it.

they never lose dll files (but msn doesn't work on them either). they just crash and freeze a lot (two words).

Yahoo mail typically is not a hard coded program. Usually it is webbased. However, if Achoo! (bless Me) has installed some related program files then yes, delete those too. Delete everything related to Achoo! (gesundheit) (and then switch to MSN... lol )
