He enters, dips His lid to all, smiling broadly.............

"Well I have seen, eating popcorn, the chocolate, and other sweets; the beverages of coffee, the different alcohols etc. Chup-a-chups anyone?

I often will eat or drink substances that relate to how I feel personally when signing on or how a thread makes me feel. Yes, a thread may make me laugh that I'll get a huge bowl of icecream with nuts, topping, etc (and tuck in like the overgrown kid I am) as I read a delightful comical thread.

I was wondering what others may part-take in. Is the food/beverage also dependent on the type of thread? Can a thread totally change your mood from deep to light and you feel this reflected in your attitude. (I'm not asking about a great mood to a downer tho- let's keep this light)"

Warm regards to all,

Paul, (Sir to His Angel and His Wild)

I rarely eat anything while at my computer.. but on the C/M boards.. I can partake in things like twinkies, ho-hos, cheesecake.. Which would probably kill me irl (or at least make me so sick I'd want to kill myself).

Occaisionally, I'll have chips, fruit, or some noodles while reading the boards at my computer. But that is rare.

dear driver 61 what...this could be totally off the wall but its my opinion food is potent!....it has pros and cons,
if you are thinking or concetrating
food and eating takes time away, for digestion;
it can be sensual;
its americas favorite pass-time
you pay for the atmosphere you eat in when you eat out....
all i know is food can bring you down ;crashes you ;to another grounded reality and chocolates are, for wartime
plenty chocolates ;plenty of war;
to free the spirit
you must sometimes free the body from food to take flight
vision quests anybody?

Hmmm... can't really pin it down to one thing, specifically. I don't tend to eat at my computer desk, simply because I don't do a lot of snacking, and meals are taken in the dining room or the living room, depending on who's here. If I DO put something in my mouth, it's usually hard candies. Of course, I do drink while sitting here - Diet Pepsi, milk, water, coffee or flavored sparkling water.

I'm a slow learner here... the more I eat or drink while on CM forum.. the more damage I do to my laptop from spewing coffee.. coke... food.. when I read something too funny on here... LOL

At least I've learned to keep coffee cup on other table and not next to laptop.. when I throw hands up in dispare.. I don't knock over cup no more and have to screamble to clean up... LOL

Three years ago I quit a 3 pack a day habit, so I no longer smoke like a chimney at my puter. However, I have replaced my cigarettes with sugar-free popsicles, which I call "Poppies". So that is what I eat the most while sitting at my puter.

I am rarely found without seltzer within 10 feet of me... I drink it rather than soda and therefore have a bottle constantly at my computer. If I eat at the computer it is normally some sort of water ice or non-greasy snack... nothing makes my spine shiver more than going for the mouse or keyboard and having it feel greasy. I have been known to eat dinner there as well, but I am not doing anything on the computer, just sitting there and reading something online mostly.
