I am lost here, please define "Dominant position"

My boss signs my paycheck, therefore she is technically in a Dominant position. I respect her as such, but I respect her for many other things as well.

the question states Your BDSM protical
hence it is relating to Your BDSM protical
not your vanilla world if Your job stands in
the vanilla world and not BDSM.

Using bdsm protocol on the boards reminds me too much of cyber. IMHO, fake and contrived, lacking true interaction. All the frills, but none of the emotional substance.

Though I have tremendous interest in learning about people's RL protocols, in my own relationship there is almost no protocol beyond what's been established naturally over a 22-year marriage. But then again "lifestyle" D/s is not a big part of our personal dynamic.

If board bdsm protocol was ever demanded of me, (say, something beyond civility; and I don't count gentle teasing as awful) I'm outta here.

I agree with the poster (sorry, I forgot who) who wears a green name tag to muches when everyone else wears blue or red. To this cyber munch I'm also going to be wearing a green name tag. And I'm fine with people wearing white tags, too. Or purple.

I believe this poll is too vague at best or not offering enough choices. How about all people deserve respect?

And who determines if the person is a *dominant*? If it is them, well, then I would have to state that it doesn't matter what they consider themselves in their every day lives, but only their relationship with me. I have one dominant in my life, I call him Master. I have many other's that I know RL that are dominant men. Most I call by their first names while getting to know them, then call them Sir eventually. Ironically, most feel *fake* respect worse than no respect. They feel secure enough in their own dominance that they do not have yell and scream and act like a child because some submissive didn't give them their *just due*.

Then there is of course the fact that I am not submissive, and only a slave to men. So, where a woman may well be dominant in her dealings with others in her life, in her dealings with me we are on equal footing. I treat her with the same respect she shows me, no more, no less.

That says it in a nutshell right there. There are so many opinions and feelings about what (if any) difference your role makes in how you are treated here. There will never be a consensus. So the best alternative is to treat everyone with respect unless they show that they don't deserve it.
My personal feeling is that subs and slaves should address me as Sir. But many don't agree with that and that is fine with me. I don't whine about it. It isn't that big of a deal.
I would hope that my words and actions would be what I am judged on ultimately. Oh and also that I am not constantly confused with Estrict.
