This will sound weird but has any one thought of spinning dog fur, it’s said to be up to 80 percent warmer than wool and what better use for all that shedding when brushed. My cockerspaniel furs up way to much in the winter for our warm ish winters, he’s like a little chow. When I brush him even after the third go at the same spot more and yet more fur comes out lol, I was wondering if there was any uses for the stuff that comes off, it's nice and soft

Felting, which is what you are saying would be cool except one thing....that shit stinks when it gets wet.

Why would that sounds weird? Not only have thought of it, have done it with a drop spindle works just fine after you card it. Then of course all the stupid moths get in and ruin it.

you have to store the fur in a fabric cloth sac or in a moth proof one in nice open area;s moths like to eat things inc losets an dark spaces
