To me it feels a bit strange, although I'm sure others have experienced this before, but I've been out of the scene for about six years now. I moved from San Francisco, where I lived a submissive lifestyle day and night for a long time, to Michigan where I now find myself having wondered how I survived this long without getting myself involved in the bdsm community. I guess I've been telling myself that it was easy because there was no bdsm community that I could personally find (guess it turns out I was wrong).

Anyone else taken a long break from the lifestyle, by choice or by necessity, and then find yourself feeling kind of weird about getting back into it again once you start to realize it's time?

I cannot say that I have
ever been outside of the
Lifestyle but I know what
it is like to go from being
in a BDSM 24/7 Home to
a new country and home
and re establishing what
you are use to in this kind
of Alternate Life We live and
it is not a easy move or to
live with out that which you
are accoustomed to around.

Yeah I have.

We were very active, and then for a variety of reasons went totally private for several years. I'm just starting to forage out into the local scenes now, and yes, it is quite odd at times, weird as well, and also a lot like coming home again too.
