i have dealt with some small publishers with great satisfaction, and i feel they need our support just like Mom & Pop bookstores do.

I like paperbackswap

It's not a publisher, but it's a way to share books with others. All it costs you is the postage to mail books to other members.

I love alibris, and recomended the site to a friend who has used it to locate hard to find out of print books for his thesis. But it's not a publisher, per se.
