Status: offline 		While of course this is open to everyone, perhaps people with a penis and have experience shaing the are better able to answer.

Guys, is it easier to shave when erect, flacid or a state in between (a state in between like Kentucky)

Status: offline 		No real experience with shaving there so can't directly answer your question - instead I have one of my own.

I am a very hirsute male ( read fur coat ) and I do NOT have any hair on my penis itself, so since I would not be shaving the penis, it would not matter its state of tumescence. Just wondering, exactly how hairy is your penis???

Actually, iwill, I do understand your point - and on a serious note I would think that it would be easier to move the penis around so it is out of the way if it were erect.

Corrolary question - is it easier to shave the ball sack if it is loose and dangly or if it has tightened up (like, say, just prior to orgasm or when it is real cold outside) ?

Merely asking for intellectual curiosity, have no desire or intention of shaving any part of my body except my face and head

... my personal fav is a verrrrrrrrry close trim, and either plucking (hehehe) it all out or singing it smooth with a few carefully placed fireballs. VOOOSH!

In the class I teach I wear a very effective groin protector, and show off that I can stand there all day and get repeated knee kicks to that particular part of my anatomy and the student gets tired before I do.

Invariably, at least half the men in the audience cross their legs and look extremely uncomfortable watching the demonstration.

Actually I have like six strands of hair that are definitely on the shaft but close to the balls. I don't shave them for obvious reasons. Hey, that is sparp metal and MY PENIS. (Sorry I'm kinda attached to MY PENIS. I had it since I was a kid.)

If I must deal with that I'd rather submit to Shade Diva's plucking idea. Sure it would hurt, but I would not freak out because there is sharp metal blade on my PENIS.

Since balls seem to move on their own for no discernable reason, I was assuming maybe someone has noticed a correlation between tumescence (erectness if I didn't spell that right) and ball sack rigidness.

Actually there is no direct correlation between them. As it is the body regulating the proximity of the jewels to the torso in order to control the temperature of the testes at a constant 94°F. Your body essentially "incubates" your sperm and seminal fluid. This is an automatic (involuntary) function that humans have very little, if any control over. Mother nature does the temperature regulation, by raising or lowering the testes within the jewel sac... via contracting or relaxing the skin of the jewel sac. As the jewel sac contracts, the skin of the jewel sac thickens (aka: sac rigidness).

This process usually occurs only when the surrounding temperature is lower than 94°, as in when you go outside, when it's 45° out there, and it was 78° inside. Your loose gym shorts and no underwear soon has your body raising your jewels, and your jewel sac rigidness factor increases to keep those jewels nice and toasty at 94°.

Lets say you are tied to a cross, and your Domme slides your jewels into a baggy full of ice, and ties it on your jewels. What happens? The jewels get much closer to you as the jewel sac skin contracts. Pending internal blockage from injury, the jewel sac is capable of raising the jewel all the way up inside you, which would make the guy appear at a glance to be extremely jewel challenged (no balls).

Next time you take a shower, conduct an experiment. Set the water temperature to be comfortable, over 94° if tolerable, and dangle your jewels under the water. If the water is over 94°, your jewels will be lowered and your jewel sac skin appear to be very thin... a twofold purpose. 1- lowering the testes to allow cooling, and 2- thin the skin so the testes can dissipate heat quickly. It stands to reason that it may be easier to shave your jewel sac by using cooler shower water temperature... shrink them up and shave away. A cold shower and a close shave!

a question though - if it is solely for temperature regulation, then why does my jewel sac get all tight, draw up and get thick ( as does the sac of every male performer in every porno flick I have ever watched ) just prior to ejaculation? -- Is jerking off a proven method for lowering the temperature in the area surronding the jewel sac ( not in my experience )

yes I know there is a medical explanation for this, am just being the typical SOD (Smartass Opinion Dom) that I am - even though i cannot think of the medical explanation at this moment

well - it would be an alternative to the cold shower/ice pack methods to get the sac to shrink up - and any of them is a delightfully sadistic way for the Mistress to prep her sub for the shaving
