Im not sure I would be turned off by it. When I do something nice for somebody, and their response is abrasive or dismissive, it doesnt really make me overly willing to do any more nice things for them. But I want to caveat this by saying that such responses are customary in this society. For example: I give person X a present. They respond "You shouldnt have." It is a programmed response from their upbringing, used in place of saying "Thank you." Sinergy
