Okay, I know I shouldnt really be using this forum for a personal request but I am desperate.

My trip to Cali has been extended and I NEED a good hair stylist and even more important someone who is really good at shaping eyebrows.

I cannot shape my eyebrows myself and they are driving me nuts and I am nervous just walking into some random place because my eyebrows really shape my face and if someone messes them up I may end up with an unwanted expression (or worse) for weeks till they grow out again.

Can anyone please suggest a good place to go for hair (must be really good with very curly hair) and/or eyebrows around the San Jose or even the San Francisco area?

Really now. Why shouldn't you use this forum for a personal request? it's been used as everything else, and you are one of the ones that makes us all put our toys back and play nicely.

I have used Message boards for everything from translations to a ride back to NY when I was stranded in Virgina. That such a request may not speak to the information/educational purpose of the board is true, but these are the things that build community, which is more IMHO, a purpose for the boards.

Good Luck in your search. I just fwd'd the link to Bailey, whose busier than a cat with kittens right at the moment, but may know something to help (she seems to know everything else).

Might you be making it back to the right coast before Labor Day? Coming to the dinner?

Thanks SO much! I appreciate it.

Well I will be in Maryland for the first week of September, so at the VERY latest I will be back home on the 9th or 10th of Sept but my bets are on some point next week and then I will go directly to MD.

I didnt even know there was going to be another gathering I have been away from the forums so much. I will go make it a sticky. I actually have plans for Labor day, but I will make it out to one of these, I promise!
