This is my first post in "Random Stupidity" so please be gentle.

All of my female friends have this one thing in common that I JUST don't understand. They cannot take a shit at the house of the man they are dating. They will suffer through pain, make lame excuses to go to the near by gas station to do it, or even just leave and go home. All so they don't take a shit at his place because they are too embarrassed.

The way *I* look at it. . .the men I date are well aware that I have bowel movements. One might decide to "move" while I'm at his place. I have no problems going #2 there. I'll just either say "Ummmm. . .you might not want to go in there for a few minutes" or "Do you have some spray?"

Do guys *really* sweat the fact that a woman takes a dump at his place? Am I just being a heathen by not observing the "no shitting at a man's place" rule? I would really like to know.

All answers appreciated.

This is a new one on me, and no I don't mind if someone dumps a load in my toilet. Having said that though there was a time when as a young man I shared a house with 2 other guys and our toilet looked like the one from the TV series ' The Young Ones ' and any woman strong enough to venture forth was brave indeed.

I actually trhink it a real plus when the relationship has gotten along to the point that we become casual about bathroom things- and I once was a bit offended by a women who wouldn't use the bathroom while I was in the shower ( "are you kidding? Didn't I just ass fuck you in a dark alley? and now you are SHY?!")

Some women are funny like that

I think there is some hang up from childhood days or something - I have noticed while men dont care about "bowel motions" and associated things like farting and belching women do care and some dont even like joking about it. Sometimes you just cant avoid those sort of things happeneing - when ya gotta go ya gotta go!!!!!!!

However I also have female friends who do things like putting toilet paper into the toilet bowl before peeing just so they dont make any noise - I mean thats not healthy is it ................... :-)

And dont even mention scat when they are around - Im sure some think its a form of old time dancing...........................

I guess i am in the i never thought of that category. If i gots to go i gots to go. Usually if i am intimate with someone sexually speaking, i dont close the door to pee, and if the man is in their peeing i like to watch i have been asked to hold it to for them and it might lead to some fun other than GS and him npt actually getting to pee.

Most men i have found are more shy about it than i am, and me watching is more uncomforable for them.

Hello GoddessJules,

I am not a guy, but am in relationships with women.
I find some of them have this problem.

For myself, I am for putting a good spray in the bathroom
and if it's that bad warning someone about to enter the zone.
It is somewhat embarrassing to have loose bowles, a gurggling
stomach and lots of gas.

It is nice though when the relationship grows and you get
used to each others normal bodily functions and it's no big deal,
even becoming a good time for comedy!

While i don't sweat the fact that a woman moves her bowels when she's over, i have shy kidneys when i'm visiting someone...i have no problem when using a public restroom, but at first, when at their place, that part of me shuts down.

Now you know more about me than you ever really cared to.

I confess, I am among the women who's been a tad uneasy in the past about using his bathroom, and I don't like to make noise when urinating either (so I start slowly, and hold if it's flowing too fast, which is good exercise as it turns out, lol).
Now, I will go when I Really need to, but if it's a slight urge, I really cannot (even when I try), and will usually hold it until I get home. I'm not that comfortable in any place outside my home, so unless I really need to, won't use public facilities (and I'm not even a neat/germ-phobic freak). M

Well i thought about this *LOL* i think maybe if this was a "NEW" relationship - still kinda shy and nervous i would hesitate more but generally it wouldn't bother me. i don't get into scat so it has to go somewhere else! *giggles*

Ok, maybe I'm not enlightened or something, but I'm pretty particular about where I'll shit. There are few times that I'm more vulnerable, and frankly when I"m that vulnerable I want to be in a safe place (which generally translates into "home"). Especially in the early stages of a relationship (friendhip, intimate relationship, business relationship, whatever) I simply do not want to be vulnerable like that. Sure, there are occasions when that's not possible, but by and large that's always my preference.

My body has been known to "shut off" for 3 or 4 days if, for example, I'm at a convention for work that necessitates sharing a room. I want to be at home, not at work, not at someone else's home, not out driving around, etc. I think it's some kind of self-protection mechanism or something.

I am currently watching "Something about Polly" and a short scene in the move reminded me of this thread. It's when Rubin clogs Polly's toilet and uses a towel hand emboidered by her grandmother on the end of the plunger to try to unclocg it, and Polly catches him. Then later he tells a friend what happened and the friend asks him "what were you doing going number 2 in her apartment anyway?". LOL

I have a "friend" who shall remain nameless for purposes of this response.

I noticed a whole lot of flushing going on one day and just had to ask--

Apparently "friend's" Mother can't stand the sound or odor of any person using the toilet so she insists that the toilet be flushed throughout any bodily elimination process. Since this practice has been in force since "friend's" childhood, "friend" can't use the facilities any other way.

If a person uses the bathroom while at mother's house and the person is not aware of the flushing rule, she will tell the person how much she enjoyed the concert. Years of therapy to overcome this, no doubt.

Trust me I can identify with this. For some I do beleive it is a matter of shyness and for others it is just a matter of comfort. I have often shyed away from using the bathroom for a # 2 in a mans home until I was comfortable with him on a whole different level.

I have also noticed that men are the same way. My ex did not use the bathroom in my house the first 3 months we were together, he always abruptly left or had to go or something. That was just for peeing. Once he got comfortable enough to pee he was straight but it took even more time to get to sitting on the toilet in my home.

I think it all goes with that perfect image that we like to have of one another. Nothing turns me off more than a man who is using my bathroom and it sounds like Niagara Falls all over the house. LOL especially after sex.

[that is when my ears are most sensitive] LOL anyway, it is all about the perfect perception that we have of each other.

I never realized women have such a problem. The problem I've seen most often is women whom are reluctant to eat in front of a man they've just met. But, towards this regards, what springs most readily into mind was a lovely young lady laughingly telling me, when I inadvertently farted during an innocent activity at the start of our long relationship, "Now we can relax and be real."

lol....i grew up in a household where neither woman (sister and mother) ever shut the door when they were in the bathroom for any reason....indeed i fought the notion for awhile but at this point i am well accustomed to the idea that women's bowels do move...i have a few friends that are still struggling with this concept but it doesn't bother me a bit. when it happens, it happens.

I will speculate on the reasons, mainly to amuse myself because I certainly don't have any special insight on this matter:

1. They want guys to believe that girls are "sugar and spice and everything nice", and they don't want to destroy that illusion by going into the bathroom and letting loose with farts and grunts and having noxious fumes permeate the place when they come out.

2. A lot of guys aren't very good housekeepers, so maybe the gals feel it is more sanitary to go to a gas station or anyplace else to relieve themselves.
