What a superb question: "I'm curious how many men would be interested in a position as a paid male submissive. Hypothetically, you could set limits regarding submitting to ONLY women if you wanted, and set limits regarding the types of play, but other than that you'd be wide open (so to speak). Would this be appealing? What would you charge?" ----------------------------------------------------------------- In the midst of the male daytime fanasies, of course this would be an outstanding existence. To have only those women as clients who I wish to see and to only engage in the activities that I wish and to be paid for this sounds like heaven on earth. The reality of it, however, is that there would be, as a minimum, the same set of difficulties that professional female dominants face. These include: 1. the difficulties of dealing with clients who do not show 2. those clients who attempt to turn a professional relationship into one that is personal 3. the issue of how sexual can (or should) the sessions be 4. issues of being in a "gray zone" with respect to law enforcement authorities 5. how to have an ongoing, loving, long-term relationship with a woman given that she knows that the man sees women as a professional submissive An additional difficulty in this case is that it may well be extraordinarily difficult to enforce limits with clients once the man is truly bound. As it is likely that the clients would seek a "paid male submissive" either because they are in a relationship in which they are unable to engage in these activities (e.g., a husband with little or no interest for this) or because their activities are more extreme than are those of the male subs with whom they interact, the paid male sub may quickly recognize that the spanking or tie and tease that he may adore is only of minimal interest to women who seek his services -- the lonely and the very, very hard core sadists. As a result, once he is bound and helpless, a pleasant "tease and denial" session can end up being purely sexual (perhaps the woman mounts him or uses him orally), exceeds a hard limit that is not pain-related (after being bound he is forcibly made to ingest her brown showers), or is pain-related and possibly causes permanent damage, such as involving branding, CBT of unimaginable agony (e.g., removal of the penile skin during abrasion play with sandpaper followed by the application of chemical compounds or burns to the skinless penile shaft; actual crushing of the testicles one by one; electrical "play" that involves cattle prods and which is paused only due to the unconsciousness of the man -- who is then revived for additional torture), etc. This is a difficult to quantitate risk that is highly unlikely in the context of a loving, caring relationship but is an unknown with even a well screened client as she is seeing him for a specific reason (or activity) that she cannot obtain via standard channels. Logic also dictates that in doing so, the vanilla career of the man would be likely to suffer or cease, problematic at best for those of us who have demanding careers (e.g., working as an attorney or physician). Perhaps it would be more likely for a man to have a "market" if he caters to the need for personal closeness of the dominant woman, as she falls asleep in his arms and can simply be herself without the highly-charged atmosphere of an S-M interaction.
