We communicate mainly by phone and email when apart.
For those times, he likes to give me little tasks to do.
His preference is self portraits which agrees very well with my creative nature.
I click, I crop, I send.

What, if anything are you required to do for your one when you can't be together?

Status: offline 		One that worked well for me in a past relationship was having to keep completely clean-shaven all over. Everyday.

It was effective because

a) It was a daily reminder of how my body was a possession for his pleasure.
b) It gave me a ritual time everyday when he was on my mind so I felt connected to him everyday.
c) It was not something he could really check up on, so it was completely an act of what I call submissive honour that I did so...and that made me feel very proud of my submission.

I obeyed even when technically I could get away with it, and this had the effect of making me feel owned everyday.

Status: offline 		Maintaining a journal that he can access has two excellent purposes. One, he gets to keep track of you and two, you get the cathartic experience of journaling.

Status: offline 		My cyber dom likes to control how I do the things that need doing around the house. From floors to laundry, he always adds a little something to how I do it, from being shackled to performing all tasks while kneeling, things like that, just so I know, that while I may live in a vanilla household, there is still someone out there controlling my moves.

Status: offline 		When Master and i were chatting, i used to do a daily journal to him, mostly it was me being crazy about my frustration with no physical contact lol...He also gave me topics to write about which was excellent.

I also spent the time making him things, cuffs, floggers, even made a bdsm themed quilt, which kept me sane.

Maintain His calendar for appointments and important dates
Keep His house clean
Feed, water and otherwise keep His pets (all 10 of them) happy and healthy
Take piano lessons and practice daily
Work out 2 hours a day
Perform all routine household maintenance
Do special household projects like hanging wallpaper and painting (that's on the schedule this spring)
Make sure His favorite foods are in the refrigerator/cupboard when He arrives home (especially those triple-chocolate Dove bars!)
Negotiate with contractors when repairs/upgrades are needed at either house

Basically, I do everything necessary to keep a household running smoothly, so He doesn't have to and so when He arrives home, it's all US time.

Status: offline 		Well i see my Master 2 or 3 time a week. ther is one task he always has me do. it is when i leave to go home as soon as i get home i have to e mail him so he knows i got home safe and sound. It makes me feel so special and cherished.

write essays for him
go to school
work out
strive to get ahead at work and "move up"
be involved in family

and then all sorts of other personal things. my days without him are filled with him.

Sounds pretty normal to me, and nothing that most vanillas don't do as well. Whether it's 'give me a jingle so I know you got home safe', or 'leave me an Email so I don't worry about you.' Doesn't take a 'special master' at all.
