Im moving with my Sir from one end of Australia to the other. Removalists will load the truck and unload the other end. We have 3 days and two overnight stays to do it in, as we have to meet the van the other end.
We will be driving his car, large and comfy. He'll do the main bulk of the driving, ill relieve when he needs the rest. To say ill do half would not be correct, as ive only been driving a car for about 4 months, and the longest ive driven is 3 hrs which i found exhausting.
He has organised mostly everything, but has set me a task: that i organise this drive, so that it is as pleasant as it can be for us. We are taking our dogs in the car because we cannot afford the $ to fly them up there. So frequent stops will be necessary. I will be sorting overnight stays at dog friendly accom (which usually means crap) en route.

I admit, that the stress of a house move, and me, do not mix well. I fluctuate between tearful and hysterical. As a submissive, im not going to be able to get away with that!

Has anyone got any survival tips and suggestions. I kinda like to still have a D/s relationship at the end of this part of our journey lol.
My mind is a blank at the moment. Were i in my home country, id know how to research where to stay, route, land marks to see enroute, but melbourne to qeensland im stumped at. I feel so thick that i cant organise this without going blank. But time is ticking away and so far, ive got one cd organised! Nothing packed, and work work work up till the move day. Help!!

Ja, I got a suggestion, it is not your life, it is your fuckin' job. Do it.

You eat an elephant one bite at a time. Seems you have a grasp on the snarky corners, coulda gone by learjet, ain't gonna happen.

There will be snags, see the big picture, take care of the details you can.

Dogs on the ride seem the most uncontrollable. have waterbowls and food handy for them. Know where your shit is you need for the ride, his and yours. Money, snacks, cell whatever.

Like that, Hon.

Your Austrailian, for fuck's sake; you'll hang!!!!

Ron

I had no idea, I assumed since you were crossing Austrailia, that you were aussie.
Ok, the short and sweet for you. You will be fine, on a long drive keep stuff together you will need for the trip, dogs will need regular feeding and water and will be nervous (waterbowls and feed close by). Many people here, perhaps you included will not agree, but maybe go to a vet and get some sedatives for the dogs. Keep your purses and wallets close, map, glasses........have some snacks and such.........across australia is a couple three or four thousand miles as I remember.

Sorry for confusion,
Ron

Actually Rom me old mate, ther are travelling northj from a state which has all four seasons in one day to my ent of Aussie where we go from pleasant temperate climates to tropical (depending how far north you go) to the land of sugae cane and bananas the Red Neck State..

Sirandlittle1, I hope the trip is as good for you as my drive with loaded car when I traveled from Perth Western Australia following the coast for three weeks and fished my way to Queensland. Where abouts are you guys moving to BRisbane, Gold Coast ?? If the latter, we have a good scene and great munches with the GoldcoastBDSM .. Any way if I can help or gjust give moral (or immoral) support just cooee for me..

thanks for the tips.
the trip is from melbourne to top of Brisbane, gold coast.

That idea about sedating the dogs. ya know, id considered that, but thought the vet would think i was nuts. But a full grown rottweiller who's bored shitless, is no better than a toddler, and id sedate that! definately. lol

Sedation is he kindest thing unless you have a dog trailer ot a wagon with the back set up for dog transport. keep us posted lass and perhgaps when you re here we can set up a welcoming coffee somewhere with an outside caffe so you can bring the Rottie and we can bring the First Bitch (ermmm Malamute)
