How well do You know Your states and where to place them?

http://www.sheppardsoftware.com/states_experiment_drag-drop_Intermed_State15s_500.html

Still trying to learn to shorten that.

90% for me. I had those tricky internal states in the right general area, but off by enough to get them called wrong.

94% for me, but then of course one of the kids is studying US history right now as well. The states...so it's homework time for me.

Also, as a very nice man pointed out to me on this site not long ago you can go to
Tinyurl.com to shorten that url.

94%, avg. error 7 miles, 264 seconds

Edited to add: I was able to use tinyurl.com to shorten the URL to this:

http://tinyurl.com/6b6lz

The thing I don't really like about that, however, is that you don't see the real URL (I mean, the URL you're going to be redirected to) when you click on the link. That can be a good way to disguise a malicious site.

Of course not, but someone else could be.

Edited to add: If you're worried about what I'm worried about, I noticed that you can turn on a new feature at the tinyurl website that allows you to see the site you're about to be redirected to before you go there. But you have to download a cookie to do it. Basically, I think it's fine if the URL comes from someone you trust, but otherwise it can be dangerous.

my avaerage error was 19 miles
but it depends on which states come up first
on trial one, the one that i counted, i got nebraska first
got it near where it was supposed to be
but if you get texas first, and then connect the pieces, would be much easier

Yep, those here on the boards who prey on the witless to start conversations for them.

Sad, that they never can recruit anyone with intellect.

Anyway, those are the malicious sorts.

I agree. On my test, the first state up was Iowa--that's got to be one of the hardest to place off the bat. I was surprised I missed it by only about 75 miles.

Thanks for sharing that web site. I will be forwarding it on to my nieces and nephews. I agree with the one post, depends on which states you get first. I played several times and ranged from 84-96%.
