Just remember, anything you put in there in large quantities will also be taken up in high quantities. Including water, phosphate, alcohol. Like everything else, moderation is good. If you put too much water in there ('cuz remember the colon is a specialist in absorbing fluid, electrolytes, and small molecules) you can get water intoxicated. Speaking of small molecules, if you put even a tiny amount of alcohol in there, you are going to get extra drunk extra fast. Heaven forbid you get the bright idea of doing a bunch of fleets in a row. That said, I know a lot of old doctors who believe in the 'Triple H' enema: High, Hot, and a Helluva lot. (eeew.) The hot shouldn't be more than a degree or two above body temp. The high refers to the height at which you hang the bag (the higher the bag, the more pressure that pushes the liquid in.) Though for truly 'cleaning out' people, and this is from some one who has had to manually disimpact waaaay too many nursing home patients, nothing beats soap suds. Nick
