Status: offline 		If any one remember the movie The Cell were they showed the guy who would kidnap women and place them in a water tight Cell. He had pierced his back were he was hanging himself over the dead corps body. I am not sure he had used meat hooks or large fish hooks.

Status: offline 		If I remember correctly, in that movie he had himself pierced with rings, and that was how he suspended himself? This sounds like they are doing it directly into the skin?

As well as in The Cell- it was also suspension- just of a different form.

I have seen that first hand- beautiful artform.

Status: offline 		I went to a web site once that showed nothing but pics of people with hooks in their skin in different places being stretched as far as possible, it was their fetish. Ouch is all i can say, not for me.

Status: offline 		In one of the Yahoo groups I once belonged to, there were pictures of a white woman who was in the company of an African tribe who hung themselves from hooks. She had the hooks piercing her tits and was hung in that manner. It looked like the pics were from a movie or documentary of some sort. Has anyone else seen these pics?

As has been suggested here, this sort of suspension has been around a very long time, but the modern primitives are really bringing it into the limelight. It's also done in the bdsm community (I've a friend who is very willing to allow me to do it to him, but his skin is not as elastic as I would like and I'm concerned he might tear...he's a bit older and has some other health issues).

Sherri and I have a couple of friends and acquaintances who have done it. The more suspension points you use the less likely you'll tear, as it distributes the weight better (and you can use smaller gauge hooks because of it). I have seen a guy (at a tattoo convention) suspended from two hooks. The piercer (he did my hood) had custom hooks made (two). They were 00g. He pierced the guy with 2g needles and then inserted the (considerably larger) 00g hooks. The guy hung for about 7 minutes. It was a really large crowd and they weren't overly empathetic to the need for peace to remain centered. The kid who hung (he was in his early 20s) really did a wonderful job of it. I was impressed.

Hanging on a form over a sandbar with your toes gently swaying above the surf...sounds transcendental, to me.

in sum religions and has been practiced for thousands of years. It is also
enjoyed by both Sadists and masocists and is a refreshing dive into Your
own spiritualizum Mod 4 ..........I think there are sum Youth out there whom
have discovered Their centers and are enjoying it. We can only hope they

Status: offline 		Actually it's not that strange at all really, and quite a beautiful thing to experience from both ends. Transcendental to say the least. Plus for those not able to due to various conditions or unwilling to go the pierced route there is also various traditional rope bondage suspensions which give similar feelings without the pain element involved for those not so far into modern tribalist mindsets.

Status: offline 		There is a scene in the movie "Dee Snider's Strangeland", where Capt Howdy abducts Robert Englund (Freddy Krueger of the Nightmare On Elm Street movies), and suspends him.It looks very cool and yes, I would try it.
