Yes, I know, this is gonna be another whiny complaint, but here goes.

What purpose does it serve someone to write an email asking for advice, and then blocking the person from whom the advice was requested before even getting an answer? This makes no sense to me at all.

frustrating the recipient? some people just like to stir others up...maybe it is their kink?

I think it becomes obvious that the persons intent was not to truly gain advice.

Yeah, probably. It's just really annoying to spend half an hour writing out a carefully thought out response, only to see "this person has blocked you" as soon as you hit the send button.

Maybe they lost their nerve and realised the answer might not be the one they wanted to hear?

It is about the only thing I can think of whilst allowing for the person responcible was capable of rational thought.

There are some odd folks out there!

This came to me in a vision ;-)

And let it be known that I am the Great Dryer God! Fear Me, for you are My favored ones. In accordance with My covenant:

1. I will claim Tribute of a single sock, at random and you, True Follower, will rejoice in it, for this shows My favor for you.
2. In taking Tribute of a single sock, I create for you, My True Follower, a Holy Pair of Socks. You are instructed to keep the Holy Sock I chose to leave behind so that we may always be connected.
3. You shall not hang your socks to dry and will forever more dry your socks in My Machine, for this act of rebellion against Me will only bring you harm. You would be denying Me My chance to show favor by claiming Tribute and thus you shall be deemed Evil Beyond Belief.
4. You shall not attach your socks together with Sharp, Closable Implements of Evil or Stretchy, Elastic Bands of Wickedness in an effort to direct My Tribute choice to another pair of socks you deem less important. I am The Great Dryer God and I will have the Tribute of My choosing!
5. You shall not dry your Holy Sock alone in My Machine in hopes that I will also choose to claim that Sock, thereby relieving you of your duty to keep the Holy Sock. This is truly a desecration of the Rite of Holy Socks and My wrath will ensue!

I've been having difficulties with the block feature. One of my girl friends called me up to ask why I had blocked her and I hadn't! Sure enough, when I looked at my block list, there she was.. blocked. I 'had' blocked a troll and it was on the same page as a new message she sent me, so I'm not sure if it's something to do with the beta test going on, but it's happened to me twice now .. two people who I would never block, both blocked and had to unblock them to be able to write.

The Great Dryer God must be really annoyed with me-I only wear one particular brand of socks, and they are all alike, and I buy them by the bagful. So, I can never tell which ones are Holy or not, because there are no official pairs. And after I'm down to a couple of Holy Socks, I buy more.

Any suggestions on how to appease an offended Dryer God?

Well, the favorites button is right next to the block button. It could have been hit by accident. *Scratching my head* hmmm that could explain why no one is knocking down my door, I have accidentally blocked everyone! Yeah, that's it.
