About 4 months ago I offered myself to my Lord and became His. I became a part of His house and I have been more content and peaceful than ever before. I have been happier as His slave than in any other relationship in my life. It is not a relationship without challenges, since my Lord and I do not live near each other. Plans are being made for me to move to be with Him and my sis, but that takes time.

For the most part, I feel very connected to Him; however, the time I feel strained the most is while I am at work. I manage a department in the company I work for. I am the boss and I am in charge. While I am there I feel farther away from Him than at any other time. I know that I am pleasing Him and doing His will by being good at my job, but I feel the distance the most at that time.

Does anyone else have the same issue? How do you deal with it? Is there anything that you do that helps?

Although i do not have the fortune of being in a relationship such as yours (and congratulations, by the way) I have read about several methods used to create a more permanent reminder of your Master/Mistress.

You could get a tatoo
You could wear a chastity device
You could wear a bracelet with an inscription
You could keep a picture of him at your desk
A rather extreme suggestion, but I've read about people wearing butt-plugs

Just some ideas I've come across from various sources. I hope something works out for you and your Master. I envy your position.

you could have a picture of Him to look at through the day, print out something special that He has e-mailed you so that you can read it when feeling the strain, frame a card or saying that He has sent You and put it in your office.

one knows that you have to be careful being in a vanilla office, but to put something that reminds you of Him (lol - as if you need reminded) where you see it each time you open a drawer, something like that, can sure make the day go better.

Occasionally this one's Master will e-mail her at work - and that brightens this one's day so much...................

Just realize that submission isn't an act, or a role. You are being who you are, a strong competent female, and exactly the person that he wanted when he chose to be in a relationship with you. Yeah it's tough, bu I'd say jsut focus on your work and enjoy the time you have. Eventually your own life will find its balance.

I understand exactly how you feel. There are times when I don't feel as connected with Master. Those are usually the hard times, when there is more stress in my life then the normal day has.

What helped me the most is knowing Master was always in my heart, keeping His best interest in mind and knowing that he enjoyed the strong side of me. When our relationship was new i would have to stop once in a while and ask myself "what would Master want me to do?" Now it just seems to come natural.

I also have some visual things i can touch. Like a Piece of leather that is on my wrist, a article of his clothing, My beautiful ownership Tattoo.

I also remembering feeling disconnected from the world because i didn't think anyone else would understand. So find another submissive/ slave ( out side of your relationship)that you trust and have things in common with so you can share with them might help as well.

Oh, i almost forgot... Kegal exercises also help me a lot. They are something i can give Master privately that no one else knows about. You can do them anywhere, while doing almost anything. It is a little secret that can make me smile in almost any situation...

... there are times that I will slip a pair of binder clips into a pocket, and go have some 'quiet time' in a bathroom stall (Where they are applied depends on how bad of a day I'm having). Its innocuous, inconspicuous, and puts me into a submissive 'headspace' even when He is far away. If I'm in a single-stall bathroom, I'll take a photo with my cellphone, and send it to Him, as a means of communicating my need to feel His ownership.
