I had the pleasure over this past weekend of meeting Estring and his girl. We, ate, we drank, we talked, I handed him my guitar and he played it more or less non-stop. Made nice background music for the conversation. His girl is cute as a button, very respectful and well behaved. In short, it was a pleasure. If you have the chance to meet them, take it. They're some of the good ones.

Wonderful to hear that you all made some friends here.

I just notice edana's sigline - I still have the sea chest I got in the Phillipines many years ago, and it has stencilled on the lid: "DISCIPLINE IS THE REFINING FIRE BY WHICH TALENT BECOMES ABILITY."

We took ourselves and our situation very seriously in those days, but the sentiment is still tue.

My slave just pointed out this post to me. I know that many here on Collarme said that it would never happen. Leonidas and Estring in the same room!
I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed our visit with Leonidas and his slave. Although he did trick me into tuning his 12 string guitar! Lol. We had some great discussions about all kinds of things. And he is quite the cook.
He has trained a wonderful slave. She was a delight to meet. She and my slave hit it off very well.
I am positive that we will be getting together again, and I look forward to building a new friendship with Leonidas and his slave. And thank you Leonidas for the kind words.
