I think it's gonna help, we finally have some one in the administration with combat experience.

The other thread was removed because delectablepink posted it twice for some reason.

Will W now declare war on Cheney because Bush can prove that Dick has WMD's?

Nah, I'll bet the barrel was more than 18 inches.

Actually, I'm not sure what the state law where Cheney fired is but N.C. Gen. Stat. § 14-288.8 defines a shotgun with a barrel of less than 18 inches as a weapon of mass destruction.

[sad shake of head] I'm not kidding.

Certainly not Guage, as is widely known, america is now the only nation on earth allowed weapons of mass destruction without retribution (and not the common man), oh and a couple others so long as their interests stay perfectly aligned with duflus or whatever his name is.

Don't they just write this up as collateral damage? Or could they accuse the victim of Al Queda links and send him to Guantamo Bay and give Cheney a medal for courage under fire?

I'm just upset that it wasn't Dubbya that he shot :( When I heard that he shot some really old decrepit guy, I at least thought he got Donald Rumsfield.

Cheney insists that all the best people believed there were quails in those bushes and that congress authorized him to shoot.

Oh, Cheney was shooting at Dan Quayle. Trying to take out a rival VP. Now I get it. Thanks.

Best,

LaMalinche

PS. How in the hell can a shotgun be a WMD? It is not as though you can take out a city block with one. I want some of those shells for mine. The aim on those things is terrible. Stick with a 9mm or a .45.

What I find interesting is that after the incident he refused to see investigating police officials and instead made an "appointment" with the police for the next day. Something tells me the good ole boys were into the sauce while they were out there playing with their guns.

Depends on the barrel length. Generally one with a barrel length of less than 18 inches is legally a "weapon of mass destruction." The only state statute I have handy is North Carolina (N.C. Gen. Stat. § 14-288.8).

The feds take it seriously too. Just ask Randy Weaver. They shot down his wife while she was holding his child because he was talked into selling a cut down shotgun to a government informer.

I thought that barrel length just meant that the weapon involved could be an "assualt" weapon, not an WMD. Hmmm. . . live and learn. Or not, considering the topic.

Best,

The fact he avoided cops for almost a day after the shooting leads me to believe he might not have been completely sober.

a few questions came to mind when i heard this:

did they strap the guy to the hood of the truck when they took him to the hospital?

did the game warden give them a ticket for shooting humans out of season?

what would the taxidermy man think of Cheney's latest "prize"?

and last, but not least:

why isn't Cheney out there shooting Bin Ladin? he might have have a chance...LOL

Does anyone see the real conspiricy here?

Very few if any see Cheney as our US President in 2008. This incident along with his cardiac health is to deture him for running. This was a sacrafice one made to bite the bullet so a republican canidate win for 2008. Cheney was set up.

Yes - After enhancing the satellite photo they say they can just make out a shadow that appears as the outline of another man in an area being referred to as the "weedy knoll". More enhancements are necessary, but as a clearer image is started to build, it looks like George "W" was the "real" shooter. After all, he's responsible for everything else.

How about a new game? List the stories in their order of importance:

Riots over Cartoons
A "free" press who refuses to publish the 'offending' cartoons.
Iran's nuclear program
Genocide in Darfur, Sudan.
Saddam tapes from the 1990's discussing terrorist attacks in the US.
Cheney hunting accident.

To see you your scored, look in the newspapers and see if your answers agree with what is being reported in the press. Bonus if any of the local newspapers has even one story regarding the Sudan, or has had one within the last 6 months.

Want to get your mind off Cheney? Read this: http://memri.org/bin/latestnews.cgi?ID=SD109606
