I am anemic and I bruise very, very easily. Other than suggestions to eat my beets, does anyone have any helpful hints on preventing bruising, particularly on the wrists and ankles?

What's wrong with bruises? I like them on my slave.

I take pre-natal vitamins to keep my iron up so I don't bruise rolling out of bed in the morning... they work well and were recommended by my doctor, since I could not tollerate iron pills. At any rate, folded soft terry towels (I like dishtowel size) under the ropes or leather can help a great deal. Neoprene restraints also tend to offer more stretch without being wimpy, you may like those as well.

Well, I don't really know much about proper nutrition for anemia, but if you are worried about bruises on wrists and ankles, then you should try to use restraints with soft lining. Those will be more confortable and produce much, much less bruising.
