And not surprisingly, none of the mainstream news outlets that bothered to 'cover' this story (that I saw) deemed it worthy to include the name of the organization responsible for the event.

The name of the event "Suspension Convention" was mentioned in the photos, but yes the sponsoring organization wasn't.

Is that because the organization didn't want to be identified? The Suicide Girls calendar mentions that the address of the gathering would only be given out to people registered for it. Perhaps there were legal concerns?

Or perhaps the media were concerned about liability for covering a possibly illegal event without notifying the police?

I don't know - but I thought it amazing that it was covered at all.
